Urban areas are more developed places and vicinity where people live, they have more of the good health care services ,good education and so many other amenities for healthy living for example good water supply ,good power supply and clean environment.
This is my entry for #hivelearners weekly contest edition 3 can the topic is (URBAN OR RURAL). The truth is that the major issues that make people to live in the rural areas is poverty lack of funds to be able to live up to the expectation in the urban areas.
Living in the urban areas is quite expensive, house rent is expensive, paying for basic amenities are on the high side. The cost to health care services are high and almost everything is getting expensive on daily basis. Food and education ,there are more sophisticated schools that we have in the urban areas, than the rural areas where we have government schools so this are the things to put into consideration before one would think about living in the urban area.
And also day the rate of insecurity in the country it's getting out of hand and it feels like the urban areas are much better and more secureed than the rural areas so people choose to stay in the urban areas than the rural areas because the rural areas are more prone to attacks.
For me personally I don't think I would want to live in the rural area rural area I would see my village I wouldn't want to be stuck in my village because they are not much development there yes there are olden day houses ,it only a few people who have constructed the modern-day houses around even if you get a job in the rural areas you would not be paid well you wouldn't be exposed to a lot of opportunity like you would in the urban areas.
Currently I'm living somewhere that looks like urban area but to me it's not really the picture I'm looking at yes and what holding me from moving out from here currently is finances if I had the money I need to move to a better area rent an apartment start up my business I would definitely leave for something much better.
Regardless of the better opportunities that are in the urban areas. I'm somebody that likes fresh food produce and most times we don't have the luxury to get that in the urban areas here because in the Rural areas we have our farms we plant vegetables , coco yams, cucumber, fresh tomato, fresh pepper, pumpkin leaves, scent leaf and corn so many other things that we can easily get and prepare for our consumption and they are fresh from the farm with the nutrients still impact not having passed through all those videos procedures for preservation ,that is one good thing about staying in area rural area.
At the moment I am happy with where I am staying and walking towards moving into a better place going to somewhere that would give me more opportunity in life.
Rural or urban area either of them works the major thing there is working according to your budget something you can afford and creating your own happiness around it.
