Hello everyone, how are you all doing on this beautiful day? Hope you are going through the weekend in the best spirit and enjoying it for all it is worth. Because as long as you are not on holiday, it is only on these days of the week that your workload is actually reduced.
So today I will be talking about something that touches us all, seeing as we all as humans will always want that which we feel is the best for us. And everyone is willing to do what it takes to get it. Yes, I am going to talk about goals today.
Everyone has goals. It could be a really big one, or it could be a series of goals that change as you keep on achieving them. Goals are like the physical versions of dreams; they are the medium through which you see yourself in a stipulated time.
The kind of goals we have in life determine the kind of person we would be because our goals will also influence our decision-making and our drive towards everything we do. Our daily activities are meant to drive us closer and closer towards achieving our goals, and if they are pushing us further then we would either have to set new goals or change the activities we are involved in.
All of us have bigger things planned for our lives, but life being as it is we get a lot of distractions and challenges that tend to make us stray from the path we would very much love to tread. It is our duty to make sure we stay on the right path. And this duty does not come easy.
Most of the time, the goals we set for ourselves seem so big and impossible we wonder how on earth we would be able to achieve them ever. But there are proven ways and I will tell you about them.
First of all, you need to be honest with yourself and decide just how important this goal is to you. You need to decide if you truly need it for yourself or you only need it because it will look cool once you achieve it.
Then, you have to set a realistic timetable. It must not be too short, or you will only be setting yourself up for disappointment. And it must not be too long or you will be lazy about chasing the dream. It just has to be long enough so that it will give you the right motivation. And only you can truly know the amount of time you need.
Next, you must write down your goals. This makes them more believable and converts them from dreams into goals.
When the goals seem impossible to achieve, you break them down into smaller goals that will have shorter deadlines. So that when you achieve each of these goals, you will be a step closer to achieving your major goal.
And now that you have set out the goal, you also need to write out your plans in going after the goal. This is the strategy you would employ and it is the one you must stick to. You have to be flexible with this plan so that if an easier one comes along you can switch up. There is no progress in rigidity.
And when you have planned it all out, the next thing you can do is to get to work and follow the plan religiously. Give it everything you have got, never take no for an answer. And if you fail, you rise back to your feet and continue the chase.
This is how goals are achieved; you fall over and over but never fail to get back to your feet. That way, one sure thing is that you will eventually achieve that goal, no matter how long it takes.
So, my dear friends, what are those goals you have? Do they seem big and mighty to you? Do they feel impossible to achieve? Fear no more, all you have to do is follow the tips listed in this post, chase the goal with every fiber of your being and you are well on your way to becoming the person you dream about.
