it seems i have been dwelling in my own little world for so long that i did not know exactly what is going on in the country anymore....
Recently, i have been opportune to experience the struggle and stress that comes with going from one place to the other and i would say i felt the excitement and the stress that comes with it due to the go slow/hold up that often happen in my state...
Three days ago, on my way home, something happened and if not for my sister, i won't have understand or even detect anything....
I was in a keke napep gisting with my sister when suddenly a guy talked to me from the window, asking for 100 naira note, luckily for him, i was holding some money and 100 naira was part of it, i was so engrossed in the discussion that i didn't think much and i also do not want disturbance and wanted to give the guy the money urgently so i can continue with the gist but my sister interrupted me and said i should not give him...
I was even trying to drag with her, that why would she ask me not to give him and she said why would he ask me for an actual amount, if he is really in need, he will ask me to give him something not call a certain amount for me, so i calm down a bit and i looked at the guy, he does not seem to be a needy person, he is fresh and with nice tatoo on his body... Oh my my he is a yahoo guy!
Nigerians understand what i mean by a yahoo guy but for people who doesn't, a yahoo guy can also be called an internet fraud star...They scam people of their hard earned money by pretending to be the opposite gender and some of them has taken it to another dimension by doing ritual to boost their money and this particular guy seems to be the latter..
Immediately my sister started arguing with me, he walked away so fast and there was a passenger sitting in front who also said my sister was right and that is the new trend, they go around collecting 100 naira from people and at the end of the day, use it to do evil...
I won't have make a post about this if it didn't happen to me today again... I went to a market close to my area to buy some things and while i was pricing some of those things, a tall dark woman walked up to me and whisper in my ear that i should please give her `100 naira, what! 100 naira again?
Oh well once bitten, twice shy, even though i was not bitten at all, thanks to my sister and i have learnt my lesson so i told her i don't have and she walked away as well...
That was how i was saved from her too.....
So be careful out there guys, and even though you want to help , be very careful so the evil ones won't take advantage of your kind nature...
