There's a common saying: when the guilty face punishment, the innocent often feel the impact too. Some bear the consequences of their parents' mistakes, others pay for crimes they didn't commit. And just like that, the problems caused by our leaders almost always hit the citizens the hardest.
source
It hits the citizens hardest because our leaders are wealthy enough to escape, leaving the poor behind to face the consequences of the problems they create.
When a country attacks another, the citizens of the attacking nation may have no say in the decision. Yet, they are not free from blame either, because the opposition sees it as a fight against the country[government] and its citizens.
Even though Nigerians have never had a war or attacked any other countries, none that I have heard of, but there are some cases related to the hive learner prompt, and a good example is Nigeria Vs Ghana
The popular saying Ghana must go has a story behind it. In the 1980s, Nigeria's economy was doing better than Ghana's, so many Ghanians came to live and work in Nigeria.
source
A few years later, however, Nigeria's economy began to struggle. The government believed that the large number of Ghanians in the country was making it harder for Nigerians to find jobs and food. So, they asked the Ghanaians to leave the country. That's how the phrase Ghana must go' came about.*``
This decision of the Nigerian government not only makes the Nigerian citizens face backlash, some working for the Ghanians lose their jobs, since the boss shut down business to move back to their country, their Nigerian workers will be rendered unemployed. And aside from that, Nigerians in the Ghanaians' country will also be trampled upon due to what our leaders did to their citizens...
When things like this happen, it is the citizens who bear the consequences of the conflict while the leaders who made the decision enjoy their ill-gotten wealth!
It is not fair, but nothing can be done about it. The powerful ones rule while the weak bear the consequences of their decision and actions.
The problem we are currently facing in Nigeria is from terrorists going into chuches to kidnap and kill the christians, not just that, they also enter some villages to kill and kidnap people, recently they storm a school and kidnap 25 girls, in a country with a leader and such things are happening, the worst part of this is that some of those leading us are the ones funding this criminals terrorizing the nation.
Trump said he is coming! Maybe he should... He should not only kill the criminals but also deal with the bad government that refuses to hear the cries of the poor and innocent citizens.
