Wishes are the things we desire that we do not have nor do we have what it takes to get them, if we could have them at any time then we wouldn't wish for them.
As humans, our want is insatiable, we often crave things we do not have and when we eventually get those things, we value them less to pursue other things we lack, it is in our nature and I guess that is part of what makes life interesting to us.
This is why we see the rich ones trying to make money, some people have money that their generation can't finish but they want more money and will do anything to get it, it is all because of human insatiable nature.
Wishes do come to pass but most times in an unexpected way and unexpected time, I have written a post about a wish I made years ago during my teenage, I was still very much into PlayStation games, it was ps2 that just came out and there was a day I played this game from morning till late in the night and I was being hailed for beating my opponent because people in there were putting stakes on me to win, it was all fun that day and I also won a lot of money and even got a free drink from someone who placed a bet on me to win, somehow amid the frenzy that night, I wished I could play game for a living and this wish came to pass in the year 2018 when splinter lands were launched, it took 9 years for that wish to be fulfilled, I never knew it would ever be possible or something like that would ever exist but while I was thinking about it, someone else was working towards making it a reality, another lesson learned that we should stop wishing and start doing things.
That same year 2018, I also had another wish which was to have 20, 000 hive power, with my earnings back then, I saw no hope and it kinda looks like a wishful thought that would never come to pass but then it happened again, in the year 2023, that wish was fulfilled.
The hive learner prompt would make me reveal my wish for this year early because I do not really publicize what I wish for but it seems it won't hurt to say this one.
My humble wish for the holiday is to become an Orca on the hive platform, an Orca is someone who has 50,000 hive power, this must have increased a bit to 55, 000 as the figure is not constant so it keeps increasing slowly.
Orcas are before the whales with 500,000 hive power, so I wish to leave the dolphin status and become an Orca.
The reasons? I want to be able to spread my vote to as many people as possible, while helping others I am also helping myself because I earn more through that process.
This is my wish, I do not know how long this will take nor do I know how I am going to achieve it but I believe wishes come true.
