People do confuse the word stingy and miser to be the same thing but no, they are clearly different.....
A stingy person is someone who spend on himself but not ready to spend on others, he will never share his things with others no matter how small it is, we can also call them selfish people because they only care about themselves....
Meanwhile a miser is someone who doesn't spend on others and himself, he just want to hold and keep all the money, even though he have the money you will never see him eat something that is very expensive or put on expensive wears....
We have naturally stingy people and we also have some people that situation made them stingy, there are some people that thinks ahead and always calculate their expenses and have a budget of how they spend their money..... Imagine asking someone that survives on an income of 20 dollars per month [7400 naira] to give you out of the money, though a giving heart will still give you and bear the repercussion alone but someone who loves himself and care less about others won't give you a dime because the money is not enough for him too...
When you ask people like this for help once or twice and they refused to give, people start to tag them as a stingy person but they also have a lot they are facing so i don't really think they are stingy, they just choose to prioritize themselves.....
A naturally stingy person will have enough still won't give out, it is in their gene not to give people their money or things, it pains them to their bone marrow when you snatch their money or things from them when they are not willing to give you.
While a greedy person is someone who want everything for themselves, greed is much more worse than stinginess, atleast a stingy person only keep his thing from others but a greedy person would go to any length to possess things that is not for them....
Evil lives in the heart of a greedy person because they have no control over their longings and desire and they will do whatever it takes just to get their hand on it...
A greedy person have no empathy so you really want to stay far away from them, they can't be a good business partner because they would never be satisfied with their share alone, they also want the shares of others, infact they want everything...
It all start from wanting from other's share of food or wanting a bigger share when you and your friends help someone and you were rewarded for it...
They are dangerous and you don't want to have anything that involves money to do with them.....
I have encountered a stingy person when i was still in school, he was my class mate and this boy never gives his money out, he plays but whenever he brings out money or want to eat, that is when you will know he is a very serious person because he will just start frowning and just that alone is a turn off for those who want to beg him for money or food...
There are also very serious beggars in the class, if you like frown from now till tomorrow, it won't stop them from begging .. So even with the way the boy frown they still approach him but the answer is no, he never gives them anything and later they just stop begging him since they know their effort would be in Vain and they end up labelling him as a stingy boy...
Like i said, he may not be a naturally stingy person but instead situation in his home made him that way but i never can tell because i was not that close to him...
All i can tell is that, He was a stingy boy who got a Medal from his classmate.. lol
