People can be funny. Some will criticize, blame, and be ready to crucify you as if they are flawless…

Before you drag someone, check yourself first. Since the day you were born, have you really never made a mistake? Never done anything worth criticizing?
No one is perfect. The only advantage we have is that as we grow older, we’re supposed to grow wiser… though that doesn’t apply to everyone.
There are things I strongly believed in before, things I would argue about and defend with my chest. But with time, I have realized how wrong I was.
Some of those old beliefs? I have thrown them in the bin. The funny part is, I never posted them online. And even if I did, I am not a celebrity; no one really cares about the opinions of an average person.
Not that people truly care about celebrities’ beliefs either… but there are always people waiting for any opportunity to bring them down.
There is a saying: when you are at the top, you gain unknown enemies, people who hate you for no reason. They hate your existence and will do anything to drag you down to their level.

There is a popular TikToker in Nigeria who is a big Wizkid fan. She’s always had something negative to say about Davido.
Then one day, Davido had a show, and she was invited on stage to perform. But fans who had seen her past posts called her out, and things got so intense that one of Davido’s crew members didn’t even allow her to perform.
Now, whether it was planned or not, one thing is clear: your words can come back to meet you.
She didn’t lose that opportunity because she wasn’t a Davido fan… she lost it because of how extreme and reckless she was with her words.
People have lost jobs and opportunities because of their past actions and beliefs.
There was a guy who went for an interview at an oil company. He did very well, and it looked like he was going to get the job. But before leaving, he was asked to drop his social media handle.
They checked his Twitter and found an old tweet where he said, “No mercy for any company I work for, I will loot until there is nothing left.
Maybe he was joking back then, but the company didn’t see it that way.
That one tweet cost him the job.
His past came back to meet him in the present, and this happens to a lot of people.
I believe in growth and leaving people’s past behind, but it really depends on what that past looks like. Some things are easier to move on from than others.
