Do I love animals? Yes, I do. Maybe a little. It's more of fear than love. But really, i like them from a distance. Watching documentaries and observing how mushy, pets and their owners are makes me excited. But me, I get scared of even the very little creatures. I want to own a pet but chances are that I'll abandon my room for it and end up sleeping outside. It's that bad.
Now to the question of which animal is my favourite?
I've never thought of which I love best. But because of everything it represents, I'll pick the Eagle...The gentle, graceful bird
Growing up, my friends and I whilst playing would see birds flying high up in the sky and I'll say, "...maybe these birds are just returning from America." We'll go on to talk about how if we were birds, we'll not live in Nigeria, how we'll just be travelling to different countries every new day. It was childhood fantasy. Kids!
I like birds, maybe because they don't scare me as much as other animals. I barely know the different species, I only know them based on face value, but you see the eagle, it is an extremely unique bird. Everyone knows it. You've probably heard of it in church or sang about it in songs. The majestic and fearless one!
It's lifestyle resonates with mine on high levels.
The eagle is known to have sharp and powerful eyes that can see from very far distance and very little things. Personally, I have a poor eyesight but my inner a sharp and clear vision of things to be.
Oh! It's Independence is amazing. I love my space, serenity, to be alone, by myself, with myself, taking up issues myself and facing them squarely. The eagle is known for its courage and boldness. In times of the storm and the turbulence of the clouds, the eagle gets excited because it knows that the winds will project it farther up to the high heavens and it will do what it knows best to do....Fly!
Very importantly, I am in awe of their freedom they possess. I'm assuming you've watched movies made with drones but have you observed how beautiful the Earth is from high up?
Even from just the top of any high-rise building, have you noticed how colorful the ground is?
I want that experience. I admire that freedom, to fly as high and go as far. As far and wide as my eyes can see and my mind can dream of.
Do you also know the Eagle never comes down? Except maybe briefly to pick up it's prey. It belongs high up. In the heavens. Displaying it's beauty. Holding it's forte in the clouds.
Who can clip it's wings?
And that's me too, like everyone, I never want to be associated with mediocrity or anything that's low. I believe it's same with you. It knows it's relevance and to knows to never settle.
As children, we were told to spread our wings and soar like an eagle. Isn't that what we all want for ourselves?
Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
