Every student know how they are getting marks. In every field in every subject grades and marks are getting different depend on the course. Well but the main question is what do should students get does the get only the pass and fail or they should get the marks or some grades which shows them there level. Well even we see that in the major courses or professional courses ever marks are getting in negative I mean the correct and wrong answer get the average and then you score the marks. But the main question is how school or university should give students the marks.
Well if I say in school when I was in senior or junior classes I use to get only grades like A+, A, B+ etc and many more. So this does not shows the marks how much you made correct or wrong it gives the average it does not show the exact score. Like if I score 90-100 marks I will get A+ and low then A etc. So I think it's actually wrong. For me the best thing to show the student is giving and showing them marks.
The perfect thing to show the student is like give them the marks out of whatever the maximum number is then beyond that marks they should get the grades and at last they should get the pass and fail answer. I think in such result they get everything they want. Well I am getting such type of grade in my university and there I see all my grades marks and the final result. Everything I mean every grade shows different thing and I think every grade is very important to show. Pass fail does not show anything they just give the satisfaction.
The major mistakes university are making in some of the courses and colleges they are showing up the marks in front of everyone. So I think that's a very worst way to show students their marks. What if some student fail and does not want to share about their marks so how they feel. At that moment every student lose their confidence. So this is worst way, it should be shown in private to the students. There are many way to show them marks and even many methods as we have already talked before.
Of course marks shows the status of the student how much he is capable or best in that particular subject or anything. Marks can also be shown through online platform by student id and password. And in that format they should show every single thing about the grades, marks and at the end pass/fail. So student get all the things very clearly. Showing only grades either pass/fail makes many doubts for the student. As I am also a student and I know how many questions it comes up on my own mind. Like where marks are been cut and not, how this grade comes. But when marks are shown I know where I made mistake and where my marks get cut.
