Today I will be talking about how to pret my Native food, and going for the soup aspect.
It's called Banger soup.. No much talk let's move over to knowing the ingredients needed for the preparation.
INGREDIENTS
-Palm fruit
-Ede(cocoyam)
-Meat
- Black fish and stock fish
-Pepper
-Season powder and cube maggi
-Salt
-Ogiri (it a native spice made from blended melon seeds and ash)
-And any leaf of your choice. For me, I will be making use of a leaf called Oha leaf
METHOD OF PREPARATION
-wash your palm fruit and ede together and pour in a pot, add some water, cover it and allow to cook. - wash your meat, black fish and stock fish together and pour them in and pot, once your Palm fruit and ede is well cooked bring it down and place your meat and fish on fire. And some water and Steam them with your season powder, cubes, salt, and pepper. Stir and allow to cook properly.While this are on fire
-Wash your palm fruit to produce oil and then blend the ede(cocoyam) pour them in a pot.
-Once your done cooking the meat and fish, place your oil moistures and blended ede on fire, cover and allow to boil helping the ede melt very well. Ede helps to thick the soup.
-Once it is well melt, add your meat, fish and the water gotten from steaming it. Add your salt cubes, pepper, and ogiri, cover the pot, and allow to boil very well while you wash your leaf.
-Once it's boiled add your leaf and allow to boil for 2 minutes. Open the pot and perceive the sweet aroma coming out from your glorious pot( hhmmmmmm smells nice) Taste it and make sure its taste great... And your soup is read to be serve.
