Hello Hive Learners and happy Sunday for all of you...
Hello Hive Learners, and happy Sunday to all of you, as you know that every Sunday we will make Sunday Creative posts in the Hive Learners community and in this Creative Sunday you can show all the creativity that you have and this time, Sunday Creative has added some new creativities and made the Creative Sunday moments even more exciting.
For Sunday Creative today, I'll be drawing as usual, and this time I want to draw a butcher. I was inspired by one of the Horror stories in one film, and the butcher was one of the villains.
Before getting into the process, I will first show you some of the tools that I used in making this image of a butcher. And as usually, i need a A4 paper dan my colour pencils.
As usual, I'll honor it with a sketch first. Here I'm not using a pencil, therefore I can't erase if something goes wrong. But if you want to make it, you should make it in pencil first so every mistakes that you make can be erased.
For this butcher's body part, I used brown. I'm start with him face and goes to another part of his body.
Next I will make the clothes of this Butcher. I actually don't know the name of this type of clothing, but I often see this type of clothing worn by butchers in horror movies.
For the clothing, I drew it in Blue.
After I got the character by scratching, then I continued with the shading for details and lighting effects. In this part I only use colored pencils for the details and I use gentle and rough techniques, where the darkest parts use thick or rough shading, while the lighter parts use thin or gentle shading.
After finishing with the face, I will continue the coloring and shading to the other parts and also the clothes. In the clothing, I must first determine the folds and bends, so based on the folds and folds I can do the shading correctly.
This thick and thin shading technique is a bit difficult to do and determines the dark and light parts, sometimes I have to layer it several times so that the colors are balanced and there is a difference between the light and dark parts.
After the shirt is done, I'm going to make the pants because there's still some empty space at the bottom. For the pants, I didn't make them too detailed and only used dark green and used the shading technique like before.
After everything was done, I returned to decorate the head and the hat. Here I'm using gray for the shading the hat, and still using the technique like before.
Using this coloring technique takes a long time, where I have to re-cover the dark areas with a dense color, and when shading, the color is of course uneven all over the place and I re-coat it to make those areas more visible. Coloring repeatedly like this is very tired and waste more time and also my colored pencils are also getting shorter.
And this is the final result, and the last step i will make the left hand of the Butcher is holding the chain, while the right hand is holding the big knife.
After many coloring processes, finally I can finish the butcher's drawing for my Sunday-Creative picture this time.
That's the picture of the butcher for my Sunday-Creative post, i hope you like it and see you on next week's Sunday-Creative.
