The 29th week has just ended and unfortunately the fun of the 29th week will also end. There was a lot of excitement in the 29th week and even at the end of this week, it couldn't be separated from the many participants who always took part in the contest this week, starting from the first edition to the last edition or the third edition this time. In this third edition we will make a post with one of the most exciting topics to discuss, the topic in this third edition is related to fake news or nowadays known as "Hoax". I think everyone understands the meaning of this sentence and even they are often faced with this one thing, and in this post I will tell you my experience about Hoax and how it really bothered me.

In this world there are many extraordinary things, terrible things, rare occurrences, and there is also a lot of fun at the same time. Of course, we can know this without having to be on site, and in this case we rely on News. Everyone has long been familiar with the news, and many media are used for news services. In this day and age, news is something that is very easily accessible, if in the past we used correspondence messages sent by post, then we were familiar with the name Newspaper. Newspapers themselves are very old news media, newspapers have long been the mainstay of humans in terms of news, and in the 19th century there were many major events happening in various parts of the world and Newspapers were the best-selling items in the 19th century.
In this modern century, Newspapers that used to be thrown on the front page of the house every morning, we can only access it just by holding a smartphone, moreover there are various kinds of news there, both in written and video form. The news that is published is also very much even more than the news that is published in the usual Newspapers, the many sources of news also make us able to read the news all day without getting bored. More or less, that's the view of how the news system works from century to century.
When all the news can be accessed very easily and there are a lot of news that can be selected as desired, there is a problem that arises, namely Hoax or fake news. People actually did fake news, propaganda, or the like even when World War I broke out. Various parties use newspaper media for propaganda and mutual accusations. From there emerged various negative assumptions that gave rise to various opinions with strategies to bring down the dignity or mentality between hostile countries. Maybe at that time the whole reporting mechanism was done manually, in the sense that at least we know for sure the people who are in the news company. Compared to now where all the news can be published but they don't need a real company to make it, they operate in a virtual world and this makes them almost untraceable. This is what makes fake news appear in abundance on social media or now known as Hoax.
Fake news or Hoax is certainly very dangerous because it can change the assumptions of the general public and lead the public to negative things for their misunderstandings. Leading opinions to things that are more favorable to the parties who make fake news is certainly not commendable, moreover they use the names of famous news agencies to carry out their actions, and this is very annoying. Maybe those who are observant will not be deceived, but there are only a few and there are many people who are actually deceived by this, and this is not the fault of the people who read this, it is clearly the fault of those who make the news. This fake news is deliberately made for propaganda purposes, or to bring down one of the parties who are controversial, this is something that happens a lot because to get a lot of votes, they have to lead public opinion, and cyberspace is a very easy target for them.

If you are asked how my experience is regarding fake news or hoaxes, of course I meet this almost every day on my social media. As if this became my breakfast, not missed even a day. But, as a wise social media user, I first checked the news publisher, transparency, and trustworthiness of the news publisher. If we can be more observant, we can even distinguish their web address from the original web of a registered and trusted news center. Those whose company names are imitated for annoying things like this will also not stay silent, of course they will make reports and investigations so that Google, YouTube, or the application where this fake news appears to immediately take it down. This is the most powerful option so far, and even so, there are still other accounts popping up that also spread fake news or hoaxes.
Therefore, we as social media users also have a responsibility to eradicate fake news makers so as not to spread and harm many parties, namely by finding out the truth of the news from trusted news sources, comparing it by seeing whether the fake news is also published on the official website or maybe not. If there is not, rest assured it is fake news and we are obliged to report it or at least we don't visit it. Things like this will hold them back a bit, and I'm sure modern-day social media users are very used to this sort of thing, in fact they have all kinds of ways to kill fake news and propaganda sites.
The Indonesian government has also paid close attention to these kinds of things, through the Ministry of Information, the government will take down all kinds of fake news, propaganda, and other things that are intentionally vilifying people or other organizations. This is certainly an extraordinary step and I strongly support a policy like this.
The point is, this goes back to ourselves, whether we are wise in choosing something and how good we are in determining the quality of every news that appears on the internet or other media.
Don't be easily fooled, look for the truth even though the news is obituary, because if someone is surprised by the news they just found out they will immediately believe it.
