Hello Hive Learners, and happy Sunday for all of you.
As you already know, today we will be making a Sunday Creative post which in this Sunday Creative post we are required to make a work of art or cooking or something that will be posted in this post and also step by step to do it.
And I'm very excited because this time I will try to make step by step the process of drawing a small child that I did this time. I was inspired when I saw small children rushing home from school and I saw a very adorable child and I tried to represent him in a cartoon style drawing. To see the results and the process, please see below.
Before drawing, I first provide tools and materials, that was :
- Pencil ( You can use any kind of Pencil, not specific )
- Pen (I usually use an oil pen so I can draw it over pencil strokes, this pen also has a pointed tip and allows me to draw small details)
- Rubber Eraser
- Colored Pencils
- Paper
After that, i will start for drawing After preparing the tools and materials, then I will start drawing.
As usual, I'll start with a schematic as well as a guideline so that my drawing doesn't look any different from the concept I want it to be. I made a big circle which I will later use as the head and some guide lines to form the body and hands later.
Once ready with the guide lines, I will start by drawing the eyes, nose and mouth in the first part of this I do so that I get the concept of expression which will later determine the formation of the body, hands, and feet of the character I want to draw.
After I formed the details of the face, I went straight to the other parts down to the legs.
The outlines that I created earlier I will slowly erase after I shape each limb of the character and in the process of deleting this, I have to be very careful that I don't erase any details from my character.
Once everything is in order, I will create other details such as the hair as well as the object that my character is holding. This time the object I want to make is a balloon, because balloons are more synonymous with children.
In this process I also make more detailed things like the curves of the clothes and such.
Because I used to draw with a pencil, so that my drawing wouldn't be easily erased and dirty, I emphasized it with a pen. This pen is an oil pen that can be used to draw on pencil strokes and with a very sharp tip, it allows me to draw even the smallest details.
After everything was done, I entered the coloring process. I'll start with her yellow hair so that my character will represent children like in most anime.
I chose the red color to make it look brighter. It turned out that the red I had chosen was a dark red instead of pink, and I was totally wrong about this. LOL
To match the dress, I chose orange for the skirt. I don't know why I chose that color, I don't know either. I chose it gladly because basically I'm not very good at combining colors, I can only draw and shade. LOL
After I was done with that, I continued by putting green on his socks and black on his shoes to make it look more optimal.
I didn't forget the balloons either, and I colored them pink.
And here is the result. I hope you guys like it, maybe the color placement isn't quite right because I'm not very good at coloring. But I will try to do better on the next Sunday Creative. Thank you and see you in another post.
