Hello Hive Learners, how are you today ?, i hope everyone is good and still excited to following a contest in Hive Learners community.
The 18th week has just passed and this time we have entered the 19th week and it is really fun and very exciting. Many of the writers have shown their best writing in the past 18 weeks and it is really good. I'm sure in the 19th week there will be many more writers who want to show their work in the contest and maybe it will be busier than the previous weeks.
For the first issue of this week, I will try to write about the types of food in terms of quality, which includes natural foods and processed foods. Of course these two foods have different things, especially in terms of quality and here I will describe the best of the two from my own point of view.
So, let's check this out...
Food is one source of energy that can be obtained by humans and is the main source of energy for human life on this earth. The food itself is eaten because of the various contents in it such as vitamins, carbohydrates, calcium, protein, and various other substances that are important for the body. There are many types of food that exist in this world, ranging from animal or plant and all of them some are processed and some are consumed without being processed first depending on the needs and the people who eat them. But most people choose to process it so that the food becomes more delicious and those who eat it will avoid various diseases due to eating raw food. In an advanced era like today, various processed food products are marketed, ranging from what we usually eat at home to those we haven't seen. Various trends are also involved in the process of promoting packaged foods and this is quite increasing the interest of consumers to consume them. Apart from this, because almost all foods are processed foods, we even find it difficult to find natural foods that do come from nature, and of course these natural foods have many benefits for humans. A very striking difference from processed food and natural food is the level of durability, of course natural food cannot last long in storage because it will tend to rot, therefore processed food marketed in supermarkets can last longer because the food has been mixed with a variety of substances that allow the food to last longer for weeks. Of course there are pros and cons regarding these additives, and because of that there are differences of opinion as to who is the best between processed foods and natural foods, I myself have often considered these two things and each has logical reasons to explain.
Many say that processed food is a product that is sometimes dangerous for consumption. These pros and cons have been widely discussed and the results are also very clear that people choose natural foods over processed foods because of this. I also think the same and I prefer natural foods if we talk about the content in these foods. However, processed foods are also not all harmful to consumption, and this is something that we ourselves don't even realize and it's as if we are against all processed products. Examples of processed products that are useful are formula milk products for babies, of course these products contain substances that make them durable, but they tend to be harmless. All newborn humans will definitely drink formula milk to support their growth and development and this is still done by their parents who are very anti-polluted. Not in the sense that there are no natural dairy products, of course good milk is natural milk that comes from dairy cows, but raw, unprocessed milk is certainly not safe for consumption because it will carry diseases from the cow which is the cow. are livestock that can also be infected with the disease. With processed dairy products, at least we get the benefits of the milk without fear of contracting disease due to consuming raw milk.
So, are all these processed foods healthy because they have been processed...?.
In this case, of course, there are a large number of natural foods that should be consumed directly without having to be processed. In this case, it refers to fruits and vegetables which both types of food will be very good if we take them directly from nature which is certainly safer from chemicals that can be harmful to the body. In Indonesia itself, in fact, people eat rice as their staple food, and rice in Indonesia comes from local rice fields that produce the best rice for consumption and marketed, of course this is a very good thing for us because the rice we eat is natural food that we grow ourselves and packaged without being processed or mixed with any chemicals. Rice plants are also very easy to cook, this makes rice the only healthy food without chemicals other than fruits and is a very large source of carbohydrates.
In conclusion, all food is something good, but there are foods that have to go through a processing process and there are foods that actually don't need to go through a processing process. There is nothing better or worse in this, as long as we know the advantages of foods that must be processed first and which are not. Sometimes unprocessed food will be a source of disease because we eat it in raw form, and sometimes food does not need to be processed and is better consumed and taken directly from nature so that the content and benefits are maintained. For that we must be wiser in choosing and we certainly know which one is best for ourselves.
