Hey guys, we’re almost at the finish line of the newbies initiative, with last week’s task based on the theme “Blockchain Games”. In the discord discussion led by, we focused on talking about some popular games on Hive like Splinterlands, but for the task, newbies were at liberty to explore and write on any 4 blockchain games of their choosing built on Hive. There are several of those, so that was quite easy.
It is our hope that newbies take the task more serious and do some serious exploring in the blockchain gaming word. P2E games are another great way to earn aside blogging on Hive.
As usual, this is my team leader report on the team (team-2) performance in last week’s task. The report is an assessment of the teams performance in last week’s task on the theme “Blockchain Games” which focused mostly on games built on Hive.
General Team Performance
On the topic of engagement, I think the team’s engagement is improving as I see team members passing around each other’s posts. An awesome development which I’m sure will help the team members make friends and build relationships not just with each other but within the entire Hive community.
This week, 5 team members submitted their tasks. Normally I’d say this wasn’t good enough, but not everyone has the energy to finish what they started, so naturally many people fell off and it’s understandable. I want to commend this group of people for sticking this far and to encourage you guys to finish what you started! The task links for the 4 team members who attempted the task are below.

Some Observations and comments
I was happy to see that the team members really went all out and did a lot of exploring. I even saw some games in the task presentations that I wasn’t aware of before. I had been seeing this HUESO token which is the in-game currency of the Big Dog Bone game.
Stressing on diversity, it was nice seeing a team member present his task in video format even though the task didn’t require that. It’s a nice way of showing that we’re applying the things we learnt in the initiative.
I noticed a tag missing in one of the newbie posts though so I thought I should remind you guys about the importance of tags again this week. As we discussed a few weeks ago, tags are a very important component of your task because it’s how we team leaders and curators are able to find your posts. Not using the specific tag required for a task will make it really difficult for us to find your post.
My thanks go to the instructor for team 2 for all the reminders and tips he’s giving me on how to handle the team, and to
also for the guidance and reminders.
