I believe that as humans, we all have natural talents within us. There's always that one thing we're just born with or can do easily on our own without being taught by anyone.
Some people have discovered theirs whilst others are yet to. Although, it's not actually much of a big deal because I believe that one doesn't need natural talents to be great. You could still learn anything as long as you set your mind to it. Besides, those with natural talents or gifts still put it to practice everyday.
Anyway, discovering one's natural talents takes a lot of self-reflection and self-realization. To be frank, I've never really thought deep about mine until after reading the topic for week 27 edition 1. Before now, I just assumed I had no natural gifts or talents. But recently after some reflection, I finally discovered it and came to the conclusion that my natural gift is “Rapid learning”.
Yes, I'm a "quick learner!"
What is a rapid learning? It is the exceptional ability to process, understand and memorize new information fast and easily. Aside from quickly understanding new information, being a quick learner also implies you can successfully execute what you've learned in any situation.
And matter of fact, when I recount my little talents, they all boil down to this natural gift of mine.
Rapid learning has indeed helped me in many ways such as the ability to swiftly learn new skills, adapt successfully to new or diverse situations, adeptness at doing a variety of tasks as well as the ability to be sharp-witted. I still recall my mom telling me how I was the first amongst my siblings to talk and walk as a little baby. Well, I guess I can owe that to this natural gift of mine, hehe 😄.
You see, I've always been the versatile kind of person and I'd also owe that to my nature of rapid learning. Once I put my mind to something, I tend to grab the ropes quickly. For instance, I swiftly learned to sing, dance, graphic design, write, edit, make myself up, weave my own hair, etc all on my own. It just came naturally and I figured I was good at it.
Recently, I picked up the skill of crocheting and it didn't take me long to master. Although, I still learn and practice often and I've been becoming better at it lately. I've also started to monetize this skill and so far, it has put some cash in my pocket.
Moreso, I look forward to the many opportunities this gift will yield me in the future.
To conclude, everyone may not be born with the ability to grasp information and comprehend it quickly but anyone can develop and improve on this skill as well. It only takes time, patience and practice 🙂.
THANKS FOR READING! ❤️
