Lol. I have done that for a couple of posts but not any hive newbie initiative post. I take them seriously. And the reason is pretty simple.
I value Hive too much. Do you remember the first task? Yes. The one where we set down our goals for the next 3 months. Well, I had set a goal for 100HP in 3 months. Guess what? I have reached more than half my goal, so I have to set a new goal.
I have 54HP already and I am so excited about it.
I digress.
This post is about sharing my thoughts about some specific things. And I am going to go right into it.

How it all started.

I remember coming back from school one day and my roommate asked me
How was school?
I replied
Fine.
He looked at me and said
Just fine? You should learn to talk bro.
I grew up in a family that doesn't talk much. I don't know how to begin to give explicit details and gist about what I did or what happened with me during the day or an event.
Although, in recent times that has changed a lot. I got to learn that telling stories and telling them in details has its beautiful advantages.
If I was asked this question say 3 yrs ago, assuming that I joined hive earlier, my answer would probably be 4 words.
Well, It has been nice...
That answer would definitely be a disservice to the immense benefit hive has provided me in the last 4 months. I mean, hive has completely changed my perspective of blockchain technology. I never envisioned a community with such immense interconnectivity.
You know, at first I was skeptical. I had so many questions, but as I do usually, I like to give things time.
So, I slowly increased my engagement with the platform. It was like nothing I have ever seen. Of course, the complexities of HP, RC, HBD vs Hive, Hive engine, 2nd layer apps, made it seem like an impossible task. But right now I am even more committed to master these things and make some impact in anyway I can.
Recently I saw a document that listed the number of communities on the hive network. Actually, It was the top 300 communities. In my mind I was like...
there are over 300 communities in the hive? Amazing
It means that there is a lot of opportunity to learn and grow and network.
Before I started writing on hive, I don't usually consider the quality of my writing in terms of spacing, use of special characters, readability, font size, pictures etc. I always wrote in a hurry.
But with hive, writing in a hurry means low quality posts, and low quality posts mean, low upvotes.
Now, I try all I can to put in effort into writing. I must say, It takes time but, the moment I push that publish button, the rush of dopamine that my brain receives is something I don't want to get used to.
I mean, I want to always feel that satisfaction that I have put in my best to make each post worth reading.
So, that's my hive journey of 4 months in a nutshell.

When I first saw this question, I thought of giving my thoughts on plagiarism and vote-begging separately. But then I thought to myself,
Plagiarism and Vote-begging both have one thing in common.
It is a really deadly thing, one that kills initiative and renders a content creator crippled even before he begins his creation.
It's called
Insecurity.
The man who plagiarizes another man's work and the man who goes around begging for votes are both scared that they are incapable of producing a work of good and enviable quality. They are both unsure of themselves. They don't know if they can take the time to produce something good.
Someone might say, If their problem is not being able to take the time to produce something good, then isn't the major problem laziness?
I don't think so. You see, these guys also have another problem.
Look at it this way. Each of us have things that we value. Things we would give a lot of time and effort to doing because we know that we do it well.
For the guy who plagiarizes and the guy who begs for votes, they may take their time to carry out another activity, but decide that there isn't enough time to create a good content that is worthy of attracting votes so they go about either taking someone else's material or begging for votes.
The above description is for the guys who plagiarize whole posts or content, or make the habit of begging for posts. The Hive blockchain is very complex and while some of us would be able to figure it out quickly, some others need more time to acclimatize to this digital space.
So, newbies still plagiarize, they still beg for votes which should end quickly as they get to learn to navigate the terrain.
That's what the newbies hive initiative is all about.

Content recycling is a tool used by content creators to buy time. As a content creator, there comes a time when a host of things can come at you as a content creator and you don't have the time to create entirely new content.
Content recycling can be a way of saving your time and still producing high quality content, if you know how to do it. When a content is properly recycled, it adds color and flavor to the content and reignites old flames. It is usually done with contents that have been published a long time ago.
As a newbie, I don't have enough contents to begin to think of recycling any. But the veterans in the game, those who have posts that are 3yrs old or 2yrs old, content that they believe are beneficial to a large number of people, they can take such content, polish it, update it to current standards and publish again.
That's content recycling. And to me, I believe there are times when it is important to keep up a continuous stream of publishing.

When I saw the video on markdowns, I remembered that someone said, if you are good with HTML, using the hive interface, especially peakd would be a piece of cake. I even commented on the post that I needed to go back to my HTML class I left off.
When I finished watching the video in the post, I decided to make the best post I have made with as many of the markdowns I could. I used font generator, the phishy tool, the center tool, the justify tool etc. I came up with this post.
It is the best post I have made in 4 months. And I intend it to be the least in the line of content I would publish in the coming days.

Bueno, ha sido agradable...
Esa respuesta definitivamente serรญa un perjuicio para el inmenso beneficio que Hive me ha brindado en los รบltimos 4 meses. Quiero decir, Hive ha cambiado por completo mi perspectiva de la tecnologรญa blockchain. Nunca imaginรฉ una comunidad con una interconectividad tan inmensa.

El plagio y la mendicidad de votos tienen una cosa en comรบn.
Es algo realmente letal, que mata la iniciativa y paraliza al creador de contenido incluso antes de que comience su creaciรณn. se llama
Inseguridad.
El hombre que plagia el trabajo de otro hombre y el hombre que anda mendigando votos tienen miedo de ser incapaces de producir un trabajo de calidad buena y envidiable. Ambos estรกn inseguros de sรญ mismos. No saben si pueden tomarse el tiempo para producir algo bueno.
Alguien podrรญa decir, si su problema es no poder tomarse el tiempo para producir algo bueno, ยฟentonces el principal problema no es la pereza? No lo creo. Verรกs, estos chicos tambiรฉn tienen otro problema.
Mรญralo de esta manera. Cada uno de nosotros tenemos cosas que valoramos. Cosas a las que darรญamos mucho tiempo y esfuerzo porque sabemos que las hacemos bien.
