Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of the #Hivelearners Weekly Featured Contents. Week 125:- Edition 03:-. With the theme "Sugar Is Bad."
We all know that too much sugar is bad, and even though we try to reduce our intake, we still find it hard to do.
This is quite a topic for me to write about because, left to me, I just feel like this prompt was brought up for my sake. Because personally, I love to take things that have sugar. But then, we all know that this isn't too healthy for us, but we always still find it hard to resist.
Sugar is not harmful to the body system, but then too much of everything, as they say, is not good. I'm also guilty of this too, but then some people take sugar like they take water.
I remember how I had a friend then who could barely go a day without taking drinks. This guy takes nothing less than 3 drinks a day. He's so addicted to things that have sugar in them.
The amount spent on drinks alone is what I cannot calculate. And then, in most cases, I try my best to advise him to at least spend more of this money on getting natural fruit.
At least that one is going to have less harm on him because it came from a natural source, which is fruit. And fruits are actually good for the body, and I believe that they will have less sugar harm on the body.
Taking most of these natural things is one of the things that I believe helped prolong the lives of our grandparents, like they say. Because all they take in, in most cases, was quite natural.
Be it foods or drinks, they always take more of natural things like vegetables, fruits, etc., which makes them stronger and healthier. because it helps increase their life span and help them live longer.
But then, if you ask me, I will tell you for free that controlling sugar intake can be challenging in most cases, but then, it's something we have to do to help maintain a healthy state. Especially for men, sugar isn't too good for us.
But then I feel if we do more of:
Reduction of Sugar Intakes: Gradually reducing the amount of sugar we consume over time will help give taste buds time to adjust.
Identifying triggers: it is always so hard to let go of taking anything that has sugar. But one has to be mindful of triggers that lead to sugar cravings.
Being hydrated: I sometimes mistake thirst for hunger or sugar cravings. Any time I sense a level of stress in me, I always seem to crave for things that have sugar in them.
Getting enough sleep: For me, lack of sleep increases my sugar cravings in most cases. Probably when I'm working or something.
Choose Natural Sweeteners: Consider using natural products more like honey to help you have a healthy state at some point in life.
As for replacing sugar, I'll recommend anyone go for either:
- Honey
Coconut sugar
Date sugar
Thank you for taking the time to go through my content, and I hope you've learned lots of lessons from the community's weekly prompt. This post is in response to the #Hivelearners weekly contest.
