First of all I want to thank from the
(Original Content Decentralized) curation team. Who spotted my first post on hive and pointed out some very important things to me. In my intropost, I did not give detailed information about myself. As a newbie here I needed some guidance. Thanks to
for helping me out.
WHO I AM
I am Andrew Eli and I am from Rivers State, Nigeria. I grew up in the city of Port Harcourt. Precisely, in a place called Port Harcourt Township. Growing up there was quite fun. We live there more like brothers and sister. Everyone knows almost everyone in the area. We care and look out for each other.

Port Harcourt use to be a very safe area to live in. You can walk back home at anytime of the night. There are occasions, where I walk back home between 2am and 3am without being harassed by anybody.
I love to read and write so much. When I was in secondary school. I use to go to school with novels. In fact one day, my teacher caught me reading a novel while in class and seized my novel.Throughout my university days, I did a lot of article writing for magazines.

WORK EXPERIENCE
After my graduation, I worked with Namik Aluminium company as a manager from 1993-1998. Later I went into my private business. I am a contractor and supplier for some companies. I supply computers, computer accessories and stationery. I have been doing this from 2004 till date.
In 1991 I became politician. I joined the Social Democratic Party (S.D.P.). I contested as a Local Government Delegate of the party in Rivers State. Which I won as one of the Local Government Delegate of the party in Rivers State.
From 1991 to 1993, I worked as a personal assistant to a House of Assembly and governorship aspirant of my party. It was quite interesting and eventful.
Politics is very intriguing and daring. You need to be "Strong" to be a politician in Nigeria.
WRITING EXPERIENCE
Just like I said earlier, I have been writing since my secondary school days. But I started blogging in 2004 when I was in Ghana. I will go to a public cyber cafe, where I go to sites like e-zine and helium and other article websites to post articles. I later started my own blog at blogger.com, where I wrote articles on various niches ranging from weight loss, health and fitness to money making food, nutrition, diet and other niches.
Since then I have been writing. I have written four unpublished books and one that I just published two months ago, withe the title “Sugar Coated Poison”. It took me twenty two long years to write this book. I lost the manuscript several times because of the device I used in saving it. Thanks to google drive, where I now save my stuffs.
Writing is fun for me over the years.
Turning 50 is an incredible experience for me. I could look back over the years and see areas of my life where I made mistakes and learned from them. As a little boy, I always thought of becoming a man someday. Now that I am a man, I wish I could become a child all over again. That is life for you.
I am married to a beautiful wife. We got married in 2007. It has been a wonderful experience. She has been very supportive and understanding. The marriage is blessed with four children, two boys and two girls.
