Today 28th Day of April, 2025 is World Safety day which promotes Safe, healthy and Decent work in any environment we find ourselves..
Today was a sensitization day were each employee were enlightened on working smart in order not to sustain injuries which can last for a lifetime or death in worst cases.
How do we apply Safety in our work environment
pasting various notices or placards at every sensitive point .
wearing of safety gears and boots.
wearing of safety helmets
putting on lab coats or Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Putting cautions at every wet or hot areas
Do not work beyond your physical and mental limits.
There are numerous safety measures to be applied at every working place depending on the products handled in the factory.
The safety pledge was recited which goes like this:
"On this Day, l solemnly affirm that i will rededicate myself to the cause of safety, health and protection of environment , will do my very best to observe the rules, regulations, procedures and develop attitudes and habits conducive for achieving these objectives.
I fully realise that accidents and occupational diseases are a drain on the national economy and may lead to disablements, deaths, harm to health, damage to property, social suffering and general degradation of the environment.
I will do everything possible for the prevention of accidents, occupational diseases and protection of environment in the interest of Self, family, organization, community and Nation at large ".
It is of this pledge we sore to always be the eye of the company in regards to avoiding accidents.
"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE"
BE safe !!! Always apply caution.
NEVER OPERATE PHONES WHEN CLOSE TO MACHINES.
