Languages are essential part of human lives, they are very vital part of communication. Without languages I wonder how we would unearth those great ideas that are conceived in our hearts. One thing that Marvels me about languages is the diversity therein. There are many languages in the world, as you moves from one part of the world to another you would depict differences and changes in tongues. It is a beautiful thing honestly. I don't get tired of listening to some people speak their native languages, it reminds of angels😅😅, while others scare, some annoy me and so on. Recently I began to think part of the reason why their is disunity in the world is the difference we have in languages. Imagine there's only one language in the world and that is what everyone speaks don't you think the world would unite and see every as one? The thing is there won't be any secrecy . Everyone else understands what everyone is saying. Every hidden thing would come to light. The division of languages is what brought about the confusion the world is facing today, though we are humans but others feel they should be more valued than others. come to think of it, what do you have that the other person doesn't have? Let's not forget that it is opportunity that makes us whatever we are and every other person can have that same opportunity. Let us love one another i think that is the true essence of being alive.
There are many languages in the world, and seriously I wish I understand all of them, it is not my fault you know, naturally man is in the quest for more knowledge daily until death takes him away. Nevertheless wishes are not horses. One language I have craved so much to learn is Hebrew. If I am to learn another language it will be Hebrew.
Hebrew languages is one of the oldest languages in the world, it is regarded as the spoken language of the Israelites. It is a language that has been greatly preserved throughout history from ancient times and it is still be spoken until date. Hebrew is spoken by two countries namely: Israel and Palestine.
Why Hebrew?
The reason why I want to learn Hebrew language might be very funny to you but it is a very serious matter for me. Most books of the Holy book (Bible) is written in Hebrew. Though it has been translated to English but i desire to understand the original words for myself. There are words that can not be effectively capture by English, only the original content can explain the depths therein. I so much desire to understand this language, I want to be able to understand the depths of the hearts of those that wrote the bible. I believe even in English language there are words that have several meanings and for that reason one word is not enough to capture them, you would have to consult other words for you to really understand the message. Beside that, just like English has many words to explain a thing I would be privilege to know other words that would convey the meanings of whatever I seek to know, thus making my journey easy and smooth.
What does it mean to me?
It means life to me, this is the language from which what I believe is written in, understanding it, is life. All i believe is captured in that language. Understanding it is just like finding light. It would be a great illumination to my path and walk with God. I thank God for the lives of the translator, they have done a great service that only God can reward them nevertheless I desire that I know, understand and see for my self the original content so that I won't be shaken by wind. Just imagine English which happens to be a general language is translated into our various languages and then we have books on medicine, books on agriculture e.t.c captured in our languages and we do not understand English in itself. Won't it be so frustrating and even cause us not to even agree with what we learn? It will only take a bold and determined heart to still believe otherwise many would just learn for learning sake but their hearts would be far away because they might say what is written is not true even if it is very clear to their eyes.
