I Wish It Last A Little Longer

Life is a cycle of work upon work. The moment one reaches the age of taking responsibilities, it kick start and it continues until the day we finally part from this world.
Biblically, even God gave man a mandate to work, which is to till the garden he was put in but after all the work, man was given the seventh day to rest hehe. It means that there is a time to rest too. Working is something man was designed to do originally, anyone who refuses to engage it will go hungry.
Holidays are observed all over the world for one to have a little time to chill out with their families. Review their lives and prepare for what lies ahead. The truth is I love holidays so much and I am sure you do also. Sometimes when we go for holidays, it's just like it shouldn't get over hehe. Back then while I was in school the thoughts of resumption makes me fall sick.. eventually I hated Mondays, who's with me in that? 😂
But after all we just have to get back to business, life has to continue. When man stops working he starts dying, personal opinion though. But check it out, if you stop working, your account balance will start draining gradually , your skill follows, your mental state too get affected, lastly it is a sign that you are old and worn-out.

For me honestly, I am in both sides depending on what I am doing. You know the truth remains that if you love whatever you are doing, you will always wish to return to it no matter what happens. If the work you do gives you joy, no matter how hectic it is, after some period of rest you will definitely feel like resuming because you will be missing it already.
Sometimes I wish the holidays will stay forever especially when my work is giving me tough times and the holidays gives me just what I am looking for like good people to be with and an opportunity to relax and free my mind from pressure.
I often wish holidays stay a little longer because when work resumes, the problem will come again, waking up early in the morning, having sleepless nights preparing for day and so on. Sometimes I feel like screaming on top of my voice. Should I be a little honest? Each time we are on break, no matter how sweet the break is, once I check the date my heart gets broken
In the entire week I love just one and half day, Saturday and Sunday morning to afternoon, once the sun goes down ha! Heart break, I start thinking about work. Like one magic should just happen and the following day be declared public holiday 🤣. The funniest thing is that there are some jobs that only have Sundays as the free day chai... This is just about weekend talk more of holiday, you think I would love it to ever come to an end? I can't afford to loose waking up by 10:00am, brush my teeth anytime I want and sit freely without a minute being interrupted by brainstorm to solve a problem 😂.
On the other hand, wishes are not horses. Even if they extend holidays to one year, it will eventually come to an end. Well you can choose to continue on break even after work resumes but just be prepared to stay hungry. One reason why I won't like any holiday to be extended is because of the nature of my work. If I don't work I wont be paid, the longer I stay resting the faster my account grows lean, you know what that means.
I can spend all the morning I have maintaining myself during the holidays and be left stranded. A typical example was during the covid19 period. Some families spent all the had during the holidays and had nothing left. It took the Mercy of God for some of them to survive. The holy everyone loved suddenly became loathsome to us. We were the ones wishing that it finishes. Though it was so because of the lockdown
Sometimes I get tired of staying at home, I get bored, no matter how sweet home is, there are days it turns bitter or sour. At work I am always busy doing one thing or the other. I won't even have time to be be alone due to the nature of my work. Sometimes the pupils do so funny things that can make my day.
In some families, parents get tired of seeing you every time. You will suddenly become a burden, I love my peace so much, I rather go to work and return seeing everyone brief before night falls than be with you morning till night and have you get tired of me.
It depends on what one does actually, for a student who is Harding, a long holiday can be an advantage to make more money. Therefore, the desire to resume might be a like a set back. And for someone working under government, the salary is assured whether they go to work or not as far as it is holiday but for someone working with a private organization especially in Nigeria, it is risky to wish for long holiday.
