I Would Bring Spiderman 🕷️
Sometimes when I see how crime rate is shooting high and how the poor are being marginalized, I often which I have some magical power to just bring certain individuals from all those fictional stories I use to read about or watch on television to come to the scene and rescue us.
Like the avengers group, the justice society who would are always out there to risk their lives ensuring that law and order is maintained without tempering with the life of anyone even the culprit itself. Other times I wish it should not be so, probably someone like Black Adam who doesn't have mercy for offenders but terminate them instantly will do.
The truth is when it comes to fictional characters I don't even know which one is really my favorite. One thing I love about most of them that act as super heroes is that they dedicate their all even sacrificing their lives to save that of others and I think there's nothing more beautiful and generous than that.
Unfortunately those are only but fiction, they realities are only but in movies and books. Fictional stories have different characters, who exhibit different attributes. I believe many of us fall in love with one or more of them because of what they can do and the qualities some of them posses.
One thing I understood about fictional stories and their super heroes is that most of them are been loved by the society but hated by government, as such they have to break the law inorder to do good to others. I kept wondering, why must it be so? I came to realize that for a change to begin or be wrought the old must be done away with. For the new to come, the old has to be thrown out so that there would be enough space to accommodate it.
Evil people seem to be almost everywhere in the government, in fact they are the law makers. If anyone wants to stand out and bring a positive change in the society then automatically he should be ready to be a law breaker because those so called leaders fortify theirselves with laws that seem to be for the masses but in disguise it is for the good, once anyone starts tempering with those laws they start getting exposed as result they turn as government to fight the person back.
Such suddenly become the wanted , you see good but they will tag it evil. They will say the government doesn't need help, no one should try to take their place by providing protection and justice for the people. They will say it is illegal. But they themselves will never fight those evil but allow it prevail until they are gone. This is why our society keeps decaying and crimes kept increasing.
If I am opportune to bring any fictional character to life, I would love to bring Peter Parker popularly known as Spiderman. Hehe! while growing up, as a kid, Spiderman seems to be every kid's fictional hero. Everything about him is just so incredibly and mind-blowing. The way he swings in the air and throws his spider webs is just something else.
I know as kids what impressed us about the guy was his outfit, how he kicks the enemy's butts , the swinging and the webs but while I was growing up I came to understand that there was more to Spiderman than just his super abilities.
Spiderman, is someone that is driven by love and compassion for the society. He has a soft heart, he is also a very considerate personality. With all his super abilities, he still refused to let the world know the man behind that mask. That implied that he was not even doing what he was doing to be known or to take credit, he just wanted his society to be in peace.
We all know that without love no matter how strong we are, there are many things that we will not be able to do. Love and compassion is that spirit that makes even the weakest to be strong in the day of adversity. If you watch Spiderman very well you would understand that he was not that strong, his opponent were all stronger than he is but he would not still let them destroy the world. No matter how badly he gets beaten down he would often rise again and fight to protect the people.
See how many times he put his life at risk to save just one person. I remember a scene from one of those tall building that a woman was hanging up on the top and was almost about falling off and boom here comes the Spiderman . There was a scene that showed that he was scared of jumping and swinging to save a citizen at the top of a building because he stood for a while and was contemplating, probably he wasn't sure he could do it but for the compassion he has, he put his life on the line and saved that life.
It is not really about the super powers for Spiderman, it was about love and compassion.
I was wondering if only we can have such a compassionate personality in our time, who works for his people not for selfish interest, not even for fame because through out his story, it was only his girlfriend and a few persons whom he revealed himself to knew him as Peter Parker else and Spiderman no one knew the man behind the mask. He was just in love with saving lives and maintaining order and law in the society.
If we have such amazing super heroes like one of the title goes Amazing Spiderman hehe, just imagine how crimes will subside. Imagine how many lives that perished in fire outbreak, would be saved? Imagine how many thieves including those in the government would be exposed?
Another beautiful thing about Parker that I love so much is that, although he is a super hero yet he didn't abandon his studies, he didn't abandon his career as the photographer, what I mean is that he was still using his hands to work inorder to earn a living. He was not idle.
This is another thing most of us should learn, because you have a gift or supernatural ability or you are being placed in a high position you should not abandon your dreams. You should not be a dependant. Your work will bring food to your table.
There's nothing to be ashamed of there. Because you are a religious leaders or a traditional ruler should not make you idle, you have hands you shouldn't wait until you are been given by someone. Independence will earn you more respect and dignity.
Imagine that our president, isn't so much concerned about the country's salary and the allowances being allocated to him but he has his own personal source of income, which he uses to cater for himself and his family, do you think there would be need for embezzling government's funds? In such a condition, his salary might even look like a chicken change to him. He could even use it to help others . But we are in a world where we all don't want to step outside the box. We prefers the easy routes.
