My Schedule For This Festive Season

Planning how to have our activities during the festive period is one of the best ways to help us enjoy the season fully. No doubt we will be having a lot of things we may want to execute that day, from visiting friends, families and places to have fun. Mapping out how to go about each of those activities may help us achieve all of them.
While I was growing up, my parents always used the Christmas and new year day to visit our relatives both those in town and those in the village, that thing can be so annoying sometimes because It always temper with my own schedules. I intend to have the day spent in my own way but for where? We will be forced to visit our uncle's and aunties, sometimes we end up spending the entire day there, how annoying that was but I had no option than to just obey hehe. In my mind I will be feeling like I was wasting that precious day, I wished to be with my friends and go asking people for money but am been caged here. One could detect from my face those days that I was not really comfortable with that but there's some that always calms me down, guess what it is? That moment when my uncle comes with new naira notes to share for us hehe. My joy giver then was the money, give it to me and everything is fine, I can even spend the night at your place .
As time goes on, I was eventually given that freedom I craved for long ago, my parents stopped ordering my schedule during festivities, I am allowed to visit the places I desire and have fun. So I go by my plans and do what seems best before my eyes.
Well usually I don't bother myself much with how to spend my day during festivities, when the day comes, i will know how to handle it . We all know how sweet the festive period are, there are many things one can do and places to go to have fun. previously I don't so much have plans for anything that day, because I often spend almost half of it in my room sometimes sleeping or watching movies but for this festive period I want to really enjoy myself.
It is not easy to start up a journey and successfully reach the end. We all know how many people started with us but are no more today. It is such a privilege and as such, It calls for appreciation and celebration. So for this year I will not be silent as well.
Firstly , on that day I will have to go to church. I am trusting God to go as early as possible, I want to be there even before my pastor because I am coming to give thanks unto God for preserving my life unto a time like this in health and in abundance, I don't mean I have a lot of money o, I saw someone looking at that line again hehe. Please the abundance I mean is having what to eat and being able to get whatever I need per time. My church service commences from 8:00am and terminates by 10:00am.
My activitie for that day will begin from church, I will be spending roughly two hours in the presence of God. I wish it were more than that, the feast will begin from there, I know there will be a lot of praying, dancing and praise unto God for making it possible. Please I know someone might be wondering why I am talking like this, you might not understand that the life you carry is a gift until the day you see someone close to you lying lifeless and there is nothing you can do about it. So if he preserves you unto a time like this, don't you think you need to return thanks unto him?
I know Thanksgiving is something we are supposed to give unto God daily and not only on certain ocassions but I think it is not still bad if I make my thanks bigger on certain ocassions hehe. I am already imagining how I will dance, shout clap and sing that day in church.
After church service climaxes I will head straight to my home, change my dress and head to the kitchen to get some food and have myself refreshed. From there I will turn off my phone's Network, because I wouldn't like anyone to bother me while i enjoy a sound sleep with a soft worship song playing gently at the background. I intend to have a very nice time in my room, so I will ensure I get whatever I need inside that day, all the food that I can consume with the drinks just right beside my bed so that I wouldn't have to stress myself to stand up hehe. I intend to rest for atleast four to five hours before any other thing. No friends, no noise just I alone, with the food and my music.
Towards evening probably around four o'clock I will turn on my network and call my friends to confirm their location, from there we can look for where to go and have a nice time. The problem with me is that I don't like crowdy places I will prefer we go and get whatever we need ,be it drinks, roasted fish, or whatever and bring it home .
I don't really like that outside gathering that much. Some of my friends are organizing a get together that day at an hotel I don't know if I will be able to partake because I am not comfortable with being outside like that, well if I gather a lot of courage that day I might check on them but if I don't then it means I will have to enjoy my day with my Paddy Abraham who is just an insider like I am heheh.. we will just go and get the goodies and murder them at home😂 .
When we are done with that aspect, we will definitely take a walk down the town to see what is going on, I and that guy are too like minded , whenever we meet time always fails us, so I am very sure that we may even walk round our city and not exhaust our conversation. It will be fun indeed, I can't wait for that day honestly. Do you know the best part? I and him have not seen for like three months now, so just imagine the kind of gist both of us have gathered during those periods of being away. There is usually a cultural dance that takes place in my community during festivities, I am sure it will hold this year. It involves cultural dancing, and preparing of local dishes, I wouldn't like to be told stories, I will be there live and direct. It is so pathetic that some of our good cultural practice are fading away, i fear greatly that in the nearest future our children might not be able to speak our local dialect. I love good cultures, that is the primary reason why I will go to see the cultural dance, all the dancers , will appear on our cultural attires and bring out all the ancient cultural instruments to make their sounds as they dance. Don't worry I will make sure I get some pictures .
On the 31st of every December, we always go for the New year Eve often referred to as cross over night in the church, it often terminates at 22:00am, immediately the church closes there used to be a celebration at the town's roundabout until day break, I couldn't attend the one that was held last year but for this year, God's willing I will be there live.
I don't have plans yet for how my new year celebration will be, but I am sure I won't be going anywhere, I might probably sleep and watch movies all day, you are invited 😁😁
