Our body's fitness is something we should take very seriously. Health is wealth as they say. It is so unfortunate that most of us get too busy in search of money that we leave our precious body's unfit. Our bank accounts swell but how health keeps diminishing gradually. I know it is not easy, some works can be so tedious. But should we allow our bodies die because we are looking for food, if the body falls sick who will eat the food? I over heard someone said many years ago that " no matter how busy one might be, he would always create time for something he Cherishes". That statement is very truly, and it applies to our topic today.
I hear many people saying I don't have time, I wish I could watch my weight but I can't, my work takes the whole time. Fine you could continue like that and become obese, till you run out of shape and your husband or wife states complaining. If that is the case you are even on a safer side, because for some people it's their their health that complains without mercy. These bodies are what we use in chasing the money we so much desire, when they fall ill we would have no option than to shut down that thing we claim consumes our time and at the end still use the same money we are trying to amass to treat it.
I am not saying we should not be faithful with our works simply because we want to stay fit, that is foolishness of the highest rank. Wisdom is profitable to direct. We can create time for exercises, it must not be too long. Consistentency is the key. Most people feel they can't go for walk outs or noggings because of the nature of their work. Which is true, but there are many other kinds of exercise apart from the outdoor ones that can keep our bodies fit. Most especially for our beloved women, they are always occupied with chores and they still need to go to work, for such going for jogging is not wise at all. Our smart phones are there we could go for research and get simpler exercise that we can do for some minutes at home before kick starting our daily functions. See exercises like push-up, sit-up, v-up, cobra stretch, e.tc. some of them don't even require any tool. Right in your room you can do it before you leave.
But like I said wisdom is profitable to direct, we all know the nature of our various works. Timing matters a lot, we have to be wise in organizing our activities, for instance if I go to work by 6:00am and there's always traffic on the way, for me to meet up with time and my exercise, I would have to wake up by earlier than normal like 4:00am that's for men. So that by 4:30 have am done . Then next thing is to get set for work and take off by 5:00am because of the traffic. For woman you can wake up 3:30am do your exercise for like thirty minutes and then prepare food for your family and get set for work. If that time won't be convinient then you can do it when you're back from work. The thing is that you just have to deny yourself some comforts to get what is ideal for you. Sacrifices has to be made. Out of no time, there is always time, it is just we that don't manage it well.
Staying fit has a lot of benefits, which may include; helping our systems work together, building strength and pumping blood around the blood, aid digestion, enhancing free flow of nutrients into the body and exiting waste from the body. This are nice benefits I think and all of us desire to have them. Infact if any of them goes out of place our bodies would be endangered. well! the ball is in our in our courts, the decision is ours to make. Whether to stay fit and enjoy good health or be too busy and have our bodies endangered.
What I do to stay fit.
I know with what I wrote above someone might be expecting me to mention some rigid exercises and lots more🤣🤣 the truth is I am also busy but not that busy 😁, but not as busy as to put my health in danger. it's laziness that limits us from doing the right things. Let me not push it further. So here is what I do.
Firstly I am always mindful of time as I have other things to attend to during the day. I go for indoor exercise because of the insecurity in my side, I can't afford to go for jogging any more even though that is what I use to do previously.I now do push ups. It is as easy and as cheap as anything. Even though I don't have specific time assigned to it in the morning, but anytime I wake up, the first thing I do is leave my bed Head straight to the ground and do at least fifteen to twenty push-up , it's my daily routine. Any day I don't do it, my body reacts to it. I know it doesn't sound big but it has been one of the things that keeps me fit. I am thinking of strategizing new methods on how to increase the number by every week. Remember it is not in the number but in the consistency.
I also do, sit ups immediately after the push ups , I often use timing method instead of counting the number of times. I set my alarm close by and engage until my time is up. The truth is exercises are stressful, but with more practice it will become normal. It takes only a courageous heart to be committed.
This one might sound funny but it is part of exercise I believe, trekking 🤣🤣 the economy of Nigeria has compelled us to exercise in a special way. This one is classic , it can be engaged anytime. And one doesn't necessarily need to be on sport wears. You can dive into it with your black suit from the office down to your house. It is a very special kind of exercise even though some people say it is poverty that causes it. Well I love trekking a lot. Though many times I do not trek conscious of the fact that I am exercising my body. I do it to interact with my self, think, sing and enjoy the cold breeze out there, by so doing I always walk long distance without even being aware. These are the few ways I keep my self fit, they are very cheap and easy anyone can engage them too.
