A clean environment is very vital for human health, well being and safety. And oftentimes, we fall ill as a result of the kind of environment we live in. It is not new news that one of the most common sickness caused by the female mosquitoes 🦟 (malaria) thrive more in an unkept place. That is why cleanliness is encouraged everywhere we find ourselves in other to prevent the spread of diseases and pollution.
An ideal clean environment is one that is free from contaminants, promoting a positive environment and protecting the ecosystem for us all. It is not just centered about our surroundings which is the outdoors but voiced down to both the water we drink, food we eat and air we breathe because through all these if not properly taken care of our health can be affected. Our health should be the number one thing we prioritize to avoid deterioration of our life span so just as it is impossible for us to eat contaminated meals everything about us should be free from dirt too. Bacterias spread faster than we can ever imagine because they go into our body with no mercy causing damages upon damages that would have been prevented that's why in the future some women find it difficult to bear children due to an infection that has eaten up her womb.
An ideal environment may not be easy to put up with but is achievable through determination by constantly doing some practices such as regular sweeping and dusting (sanitation), proper waste management (cleaning drainages to keep mosquitoes and flies away), avoid pollution of the air by saying no to the release of harmful substances for clean air, keeping food and fruits clean and fresh to avoid fungi infestation as these are just but a few of the components before it can be deemed healthy.
I live in an environment that is healthy because the above mentioned has been constantly practiced to avoid outbreak of diseases. My mom is someone that dislikes dirt so we dare not keep her space untidy and this culture she has embedded in us. She once told us a story about how their community in the village never took cleaning seriously so it was always looking dirty. Some places you would have to cover your nose before you can pass through that route until there was an outbreak and a lot of people were victims of different kinds of sickness. The health practitioner sent to the village at that time had to educate the villagers and a law was passed by the rulers that anyone who is caught littering would be fined and every drainage in front of your house must be cleaned and It was a good start for them all .
Lastly, the benefit of a clean environment is beyond promoting good health, it supports sustainable development, improves earth quality and makes the place a happy one.
