No one can be blamed for your mistakes, social media has taken over and we are the ones who will cub what our children see online and what we do not want them to see, everyone posting on social media is making money so we do not have the right to stop their business.
The rate at which parents are losing it in this generation is so high, so parents are the cause of what is happening, no time to monitor their children, and parents now prioritize their work over the children leaving their homes for the housemaids to monitor.
There are so many things we need to restrict our children to, the usage of social media platforms should not be allowed until a certain age, this is not wickedness but discipline, there are some TV shows they should be restricted to, and some shows are
only meant for adults.
For instance, there is this show in my country Big Brother Naija, this show contains some adult content that children must not be exposed to, it is not an educative program so children should be restricted from watching such content.
Some months ago I was checking one of my social media apps and I stumbled on a video where some children were punished and asking questions, these children were siblings and at the ages 12 and 14 they were boys and these two siblings were sleeping together, I mean having intimacy when they interviewed their father he said their mother was no longer staying with them and that he always return home late at night, the father was the one who cried out to call neighbors when he saw the two brothers sleeping together.
When the man was talking he said he always went to his workshop every day and left them at home, but this fateful day he came home unexpectedly and he met the two brothers sleeping with each other, having intercourse or which word can I use to qualify this disgusting habit, this means these children have been exposed content like this before they can be practicing it at home.
When the father asked them who taught them things like this, the elder brother said they watched it online, this is wrong as a parent, we need to monitor what our children watch that is why we are parents and not be negligence of their future, parenting is not only to provide food for children but also discipline them and let them know what is right from wrong.
We can never blame any platform owners because everyone is entitled to their choices, that is the way they make their money and they are free to put anything on their platform, the parents are the ones who will monitor what their children watch, no one can be blamed for their insensitive, we all know how to tame our children because most of these children are wiser than the age, they watch most of these content from their classmates. We should know the type of friends our children mingle with, we shouldn't allow them to move with any how children that will mislead their path.
No one can blame platform owners, they are working hard to make ends meet too, so this responsibility is meant for the parents to handle.
