Hello everyone, how are you doing today?
It is yet another beautiful day to show our creative skills here on the hive learners community by participating in the creative sunday initiative. We learn through this initiative and also we help others see what we see, and know what we know.
Today I will be doing a poem as usual, and this one is titled "daunted". The dictionary meaning of daunted is to be Mildly afraid or worried by some upcoming situation. My inspiration for writing this poem is helping those who are confused about their future, they become scared when there is no hope of a better future. So, they live in fear and are controlled by fear, of the unknown. It's a pity when you see people with potential being afraid to utilize their potentials, eventually these potentials will come to waste in the end. This poem is focused on making young ones see hope in their future, they should not rush or be afraid of the future. One step at a time will take us to where we are going eventually. Nobody knows tomorrow, but we have hope that we our tomorrow is better and brighter. This is the reason why I wrote this poem, to enlighten and encourage my readers not to give up but to keep hope alive. Having said this, you will find the poem below. Read it and make adjustments to your life where necessary.

What does the future look like?
Would it be fair to me?
Would I be rich, famous and influential?
Is there a place for me in the future?
Questions upon questions,
With no one to answer,
But how can there be an answer,
When no one knows tomorrow.
Clueless of what the future holds,
The more afraid I became,
Filled with anxiety,
I tiptoed through each day of my life,
I became cautious,
My every move was a huge decision to make.
Little did I know?
I was living on no man’s land,
Life was passing right through me,
But I was too scared to live life,
Wasted time, wasted life.
I have wasted so much of my life,
Thinking I was doing the best,
Creating a reality for myself,
I forgot to live in the moment,
Absent minded from what is going on,
I lost track of my vision,
Fear was my motivation,
So many years down the drain,
Daunted by things to come.
Summary
• The poem on daunted is an eye opener to the trap life sets for young chaps who rush through life and regret their actions in end when they discovered they lived all of their life in fear of the the unknown, fear of the future. Truly, tomorrow is not know but fear and panic is not our best option, fear should not be our motivation, hope should keep us going and in the end we will have a good life because our hopes and dreams will come through if we keep our hopes alive.
