It's another beautiful day and opportunity to actively participate in the week 7 edition 2 contest organised in hive learners community.
I lack words to accurately express my profound gratitude and the consistent spirit in the lives of the organisers. God bless and keep you.
Hmmm childhood memories is always a thing of joy and excitement to everyone. Childhood is the foundation for starting life which is flooded with lots of activities and indelible memories.
Anyone without a childhood experience is like a child without root. Therefore kudos for this refreshing moment by the hive learners.
Looking at the topic for this edition thus;
While growing up, as a way of entertaining ourselves we usually played different forms of games. This could be sports or board games, it could even be games that involved cards... What matters is that we enjoyed playing them a lot when we were kids. Tell us about your favorite game.
Growing up as a child, I participated in lots of games. I tried to account for some but I'm limited to the English name but I will try and explain how it works.
This game is normally done during the rainy season especially after a particular rain fall. Children will go out and draw lines on the ground both horizontal and vertical and big columns. Then you use a piece of stone and through in the first column, if the stone enters a different column you are disqualified. You must be accurate and calculative. After that you raise one leg up and jump the first column where the stone is to the next continuously till all the columns are exhausted.

This game can be played by two or more than two persons.
It's for both sexes. It helps to keep the child fit. Sincerely I don't know the name in English but in my area we call it failer.
Another outstanding childhood games is hide and seek. This consist of two kids where one tires or closes his eyes who is the seeker and the other goes on hide out within a particular agreed place.
The seek will find where the hider is and once is found you are a winner. It may take the child time to find the second but is so exciting and loving seeing children participating.
Though is logical however it boost the acumen of the child.
I really enjoyed my timeout as a child.
