Happy mid-week to everyone on this sphere of the world. I'm very much Happy to be amongst the participants for this edition. I decided to title it reflection through the past six months. This year was an amazing one especially for the past six months because of both positive and negative things experienced. In this post, I would highlight some of the things that constitutes the experience and which made these months outstanding.
Before the launch of the year 2024, I attended a program where serious prayers were rendered and declarations towards the new year was said. Aside that I had my personal reflection and desire on what to do. I was able to have an outlay of my intensions. I entered into the year with high spirit and great expectations. I wrote down my goals and how I intend to achieve it if all things being equal. It's said that man proposes but God disposes. Some of the plans thus far didn't work as it is expected however there were significant positive effect that can be shared.
Within these six months, I could say I saw the good, bad and ugly side of life. Let me begin with some pleasant moment that remains outstanding for me that I enjoyed. By the grace of God, my cousin got married last two months. This wedding supposed to have been two years ago but so many factors crept in between her parents that resulted to the delay of the whole process. It appears as if the wedding wouldn't hold but thanks be to God for making all things happened in a good time and season. The wedding was done to God's glory in the month despite the challenges and even attack from the devil. Her mother died just one week to the wedding but yet on the main day she was able to package herself and danced to God's glory. The clergyman even said since he has been pastoring and conducting wedding, he hasn't seen a bride dancing like this. What a memorable day to reckon with within these six months.
Within these months also, the younger sister to my wife graduated from the University and also did convocation. She's the fourth graduate in the family presently. It was indeed a glorious moment because she never knew she could attain such height of academic performance. The project looked as if it would be delayed but God sorted it out to her own advantage. Her name was included in the list of graduates for convocation. It was a huge celebration galore for all of us. My mother inlaw had to personally attend the occasion with heavy cooler of food to mark this feat.
I had some goals of attaining at least 1500 hive power before half of the year. I think this has become a reality today. I have more than 1500 hive power and I hope to replicate more than that before the end of the end to hit it at 3000++ hp comes December 2024. The little milestone was achieved as a result of consistency in participation of prompt, engaging with other authors and delegating to other functional communities. How I wish I could celebrate it Lauder and better than this.
It's good to have the good side of the experience however there were bad moments as well that almost wanted to spoil lots of things but God remains faithful. In my last engagement post, I shared some memorable highlights of the colossal lost that occurred in my family. My uncle and my uncle's wife that died. These were two ugly incidence that can't easily be erased. The six months were so amazing and I am hopeful that the remaining half of the year will be greater and better.
