Happy Sunday
Today, I came up with an art creativity which I created by myself recently to showcase that I can do some artwork too despite freelancing and cooking. xD
Well, I always into art and craft since first day when I came to know such things exist too other than study. But my degree dragged me into new era of the world so I discontinued with that but now I can continue on my own because I can afford to buy such things according to my interest. It has no such benefits at the moment but I like to create things on my own.
I am going to share about making Coaster with resin and hardener chemicals. So let's get started,
METHOD:
First things first is adopting some precautionary steps before touching this art because its smells very odd and when you touch these chemicals with hangs then it will become so hard to remove it from hands.
You need to wear transparent glasses, respiratory mask, and gloves.
The main ingredient in this art are these two major chemicals which known as Epoxy Resin and Hardener. It comes in numbers of ratios and I'm using it 2 by 1 ratio which means 2 portions will be epoxy resin and 1 portion will be hardener.
You also need two Mice colours along with Sand, Stones, and Shells because I'm going to create ocean style coaster.
Now you need to measure the 2 portion of epoxy resin and 1 portion of hardener on the scale then give it a good slow mix for at least 3 minutes so both chemicals can incorporate well. I used 18g resin material here. 4g left as transparent too.
Then divide into half portion in silicon cups and mix white and blue colours separately.
Take a silicon coaster mould, arrange some sand and stones at one side of the mould.
Nour pour the transparent resin first on top of sand and stones.
Rest of the blue and white epoxy pour onto the other part of coaster in order to give a ocean style look.
Some of the resin left which I used to make Heart shape and R alphabet keychain with that in the same style. Here you can see the below image.
Now place it as it is for 24 hours to cure it completely since its liquid at the moment which needs to be air-dry.
This is how you can use after curing it completely. You can use it for the glass or tea as a coaster.
Hope you like this artwork as much as I like to create. Thanks for visiting my blog till here. I'll look forward to yours too.
Enjoy❣️
