I really haven't been participating in the Hive learners community weekly contest for a while now. I am still getting a hang of losing my father inlaw who was like a father to me.
And till now I am really still trying to be active on Hive the best way I can. Sometimes I get weak and Discouraged about what life is worth over everything and anything, making me fall behind on my participation on Hive.
Today I saw one of the weekly contests on Hive-Learners Discord. "More for Less" and I thought "If i don't write about any other thing this week I will definitely write about this topic".
I had countless experiences, where I got something but couldn't really react to it and just let things slide by managing it. Making me feel guilty about going for what really didn't satisfy my taste.
There was an experience I'll never forget. And what I really got I'll never regret, it was one of the best decisions of my life getting that thing and am gonna share that with you.
When I first moved into my new apartment September/18/2022. I had to buy some stuff or almost everything, because I decided to start a new life, and new belongings. I gave some of my old stuff away and a few were sold to people who were interested..
Well I had to get a new set of Couch. While I was busy moving into my apartment, I scheduled a day to go get me a new set of couch.
It was Tuesday, a sunny bright day, I went to the company that morning to get myself some new sets of babies. I saw different shapes, colors, patterns, and sizes of couch. Lots of them captured my interest, but I wasn't really satisfied because of the legs they used in making them. The legs are too fragile or thin and can easily break off if not handled with care..
There were three couches however that captured my interest and I was debating on which to choose..

The set of white couch was my first choice, because I thought it was beautiful and shining and would bring out the beauty of the sitting room if arranged properly. It was sold for 400,000 Nigeria Naira Note back then but the vendor promised to give me a discount for 350,000 Nigeria naira Note.
The set of black couch at the back of the 3 seater long white couch was my second choice, but I was contemplating because it was too big. I was wondering if the sitting room will have any space left if this couch was arranged.

And viola, the Gold couch here was my last choice, at first I really didn't see the beauty of it because I thought it's just one simple looking couch, and wouldn't really blend very well with the color of the sitting room curtains which was ash. So i really didn't pay any attention to this couch
Well after much debate I went for my first choice, the white set of couch, and the main reason was, it's just 3 simple set of couch plus it's shining. I transferred the sum of 350,000 Nigeria Naira Note to the company account and told them to keep it at their storage room pending whenever I am ready to carry them to my new apartment..
After cleaning up my apartment for a week and setting everything up, I decided to go carry the white couch I paid for, I had to carry my elder sister for some assistance.
That was when it dawned on me that, the white couch might not really last long and might give me a lot of headache, why?, well because its white, and i got a kid, plus, what if my niece comes to pay me a visit, or spend some holiday, you know how kids behave, climbing the couch bouncing on it, playing all over with their feet and before you know it the white couch will be filled with black dirt and who knows if it'll be cleanable. These ideas, thoughts and suggestions made me rethink my decision.
I took a step back at my decision and was forced to ask the sales representative what the value of the Gold couch was. Actually the Gold couch was sold for 350,000 Nigeria Naira Note, but will be given a discount for 300,000 Nigeria Naira Note.
The Gold couch came with some set of soft succulent thick pillows as you can see from the pictures, whereas the white couch did not.. Plus the Gold couch is very cleanable with soap, sponge or napkin. The material used to make the couch is very original, thick and soft, and can easily be washable. It is also waterproof and hardly noticeable if stained or dirty. Aside from that, the legs of the Gold couch are very stable and balance and wont pull off for a decade. Plus it hardly gets torn when playing on it.
My sister also thought it would make a nice appearance since I am still very young and not old. So now it's a couch made for young people. (:
I thought about these key points for a second. Easily washable, cleanable, came with thick soft pillows, good for my kid and his niece to jump around, not noticeable when dirty, hardly gets torn, waterproof, good material quality and a good fit for young people like me.
This is it, "If I go for the white set of couch I'll be getting less than what I expected, paying more and getting less". On second thought, "If I go for the Gold couch I'll be getting more and the true value of what I paid for, paying less and getting more".
What the heck? With a bolt of light, I told the sales representative to change my order. I am going for the Gold couch, I was refunded 50,000 Nigeria Naira Note and paid 300,000 Nigeria naira Note. Not bad right?
We took it to my new apartment and after arranging it, voila they were looking dope and very beautiful, I was forced to take some pictures. You know at first I was so scared the couch wouldn't fit with the ash curtains but it fits them just perfectly.

Till date I never regretted getting these babies, they were one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. It's almost a year now since I got them and I am still rocking it like it was just yesterday, they still look so new and fresh, never old or getting wrinkled..
I bet I made the right decision. What do you think??
P:S All images are mine, some were taken last year when I was buying the couch, and arranging them in the sitting room, few when I was making this post. with my Tecno camon 16s phone.
Thanks for bumping into me ,Till we read again kudos!!!
