Compliment of the season to everyone in the Hive learner's community, it's less than a week to Christmas and the holiday has kicked in for a lot of people. Students are back at home for the holiday and workers are gradually taking their long-awaited annual leave. Although the weather isn't what it used to be during the holiday but you can tell it's Christmas with the decorations and activities going around different neighborhoods.
Getting into the Christmas feeling inspires many of us to make wishes and it's a habit that started as kids for many of us. I saw it in movies and read books about Santa Claus granting wishes so it became a norm for me and I can tell that it started the same way for the majority of those who are fond of making Christmas wishes.
There was always this anticipation about Santa granting my wishes but he never did. At the time when I realized that Santa was just a fantasy, I felt really silly; I didn't believe I had been making wishes for nothing.
Fast-forward to when I was working in a multinational company, I had a reason to make a wish again. We arrived at work one morning and met a box with a note pasted on it, the note said "Drop a Christmas wish in the box with your name written on the wishes." (There were conditions attached though.)

I felt it was a prank or something until I saw my superiors participating. I immediately joined the wish game as it was called and later that evening, over 100 staff were gathered to watch the process of choosing the three winners.
Three random wishes were chosen and surprisingly, they were fulfilled. If I am not mistaken, that's the closest I have come to getting a Christmas wish fulfilled but with the Hive learner's prompt, I might just get a wish fulfilled.
Honestly, I have got lots of wishes at this moment. It's a long list and because I grew up with the understanding of Christmas being a season of love and putting a smile on a whole lot of people's faces is one of the things I am always looking forward to doing. It would be awesome to see my holiday begin with sharing food items with the less privileged, seeing everyone celebrating Christmas as it should be will bring so much to my heart.
For my personal Christmas wish, taking my family on a luxurious vacation will be enough. I don't intend to spend millions of dollars and the luxury has to do with travelling to an Island to enjoy the holiday. It would be a trip away from all the bustling and hustling of life, the stress this year has been something else and that small treatment wouldn't be bad for us.
One of my to-do lists would be renting a yacht to cruise in the middle of the ocean. Looking at the sky with a glass of champagne while the ocean breeze hit me from different angles would definitely take all my stress throughout the year away. If the person who will grant my wish wouldn't mind, two weeks on the Island won't be bad.
I want to be spoiled and pampered for those two weeks, these are my simple and humble wishes. Thanks for reading and happy Christmas in advance.
