Greetings Wonderful Hivers
Hello! everyone, welcome to another interesting edition of the hive learners weekly topics and also a big welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy yourselves while reading.
Seeing this topic has got me thinking for quite some time, when did I actually get the best holiday of my life? this has quite taken me back to lots of memories, writing this now, I am quite on a memorable journey in my head, looking for that very interesting holiday I have ever had. Holidays basically, I am not much of a fan, it has been like this from the unset.
Speaking of holidays, I was always very much excited about traveling to stay with a family member back then but my parents never for once welcome the idea, before the holiday comes, everything will be all fine and my parents will all agree that yes you will be traveling this holiday but there are always those die-minute decisions always taken that tends to spoil everything.
My Most Interesting Holiday
After a serious memory search, I can only think of one holiday that was quite fun and hence worth talking about. This was far back when I was still very much a child, I should be in the age range of 11 or 12 years of age back then when my cousins came over for both the Xmas and New year celebrations.
It was all a shock to me seeing them, It has been really a long time since I last saw them so their coming over for the holidays was very much a surprise and I was happy deep down. At least the house was not going to be so boring as before, I was having family members of my age range around and also my favorite cousin was with us too. It was very much a full house.
Activities were all being shared, and the workload was very much lessened on my side since I had many hands assisting, the Food for the celebration was another thing I cannot forget in a hurry for it was as if my mom had changed her recipe for that day.
The fun afterward the eating and drinking, watching TV. I was big already so I refused to go visiting, for I saw myself as no longer a child. Pictures were taken by a photographer whom my mom took the liberty of inviting and keeping for us so when we look back we remember how we started. It was really a great holiday.
The Worst Holiday to Always remember
So, I have always celebrated each of my holidays with all my parents around and hence always eaten meals prepared by mom on occasion days but that of 2020 was different and the worst to be considered so far.
At this time, my dad was really sick and was taken to the hospital, and my mom had to go stay with him at the hospital where he was being admitted. It was left with just myself and my sisters.
The first of its kind where we had to celebrate a holiday without the family being together, not only was that part of the family had been in the hospital it was hard to think about but we just kept on pushing.
It was the longest time of my life, for the house was so much dead to me, for, later on, I had to take my sister to stay with a brother of ours outside where we lived and I was left to be alone at home, very sad. Since then I had never wished for this kind of holiday in my life again and it had shaded my view of holidays hence, I don't very much feel being on holiday or anything for I don't find it interesting anymore.
