Happy Sunday dear hivers, hope you are all having a restful weekend wherever you are.
It's another interesting edition, the Hive Learners Creative Sunday, where we share our creative talent and activities.
Today, I would love to about the quick fix I made on my blouse which accidentally got burnt in my hurry to get to church on time, I thought I could multi-task, Ironing while I tend to the breakfast for the family, but unfortunately for me, the arm of my blouse got burnt and to make it worst,
it was the chosen color, green for the usher group which I belong to in church. I felt a bit frustrated because I didn't have any other green-colored blouse as a replacement, so I had no other choice than to make a quick fix, thankfully, I had my sewing machine at home.
The Process
I started by cutting out the burnt part of the sleeves and had to do the same to the other sleeve, even though it wasn't affected as well
the cut-out sleeve has a lace hem which also looks like a crocheted hem, so I ripped it out of the cut-out sleeve which would be useless to me now.
Next, I folded the hem to my new sleeve length and extended it by placing and sewing the lace trimmed as its hemming
From ankle length, my blouse is now elbow length and I could still make it to church, in uniform with others, without being told, one would hardly know that there is an adjustment in my blouse sleeve length, it's more like a refreshed style, truly, there is no error in fashion.
Just in case you might have fallen victim to the same incident, just be creative about amending your clothes instead of trashing it, especially if it's a favorite outfit, you don't have to lose it, just give it a new styling.
