Happy Sunday dear Hivers, hope you are all having a fun weekend, it's been a tiring weekend for me though, working full time, but it's relieving to finally have some time for myself before the weekend runs out.
Yay! It's another edition of the Hive Learners Creative Sunday, and as usual, I will be sharing with us another creative sewing process I made during the just concluded week, a beautiful jumpsuit.
I've had this fabric for a while, and not the time to make something of it, I guess I wasn't getting the right inspiration until now, what I love about the fabric is its lightweight, and anything made out of it is sure to be comfortable to wear.
Materials Used
- light crepe fabric
- Buttons
- Zipper
- Thread
Cutting And Sewing Process
- I started by cutting the upper side of the jumpsuit using a basic shirt
- Next, I cut out the trouser pattern, it's a free trouser pattern
- Continuing, I joined the upper shirt bodice pattern by the shoulders
- And also went further to join the crotch area of the front and back pattern.
- I also joined the upper bodice to the trouser pattern
- For the sleeves, I used a three-quarter puffy sleeve pattern and inserted elastic around its hem before joining it around both armholes.
- Finally, I sewed in the buttons to the upper shirt placard area and finished the neck area with this bishop collar
And here is the beautiful final look, Seeing it come to life from mere fabric and that it was, I feel happy that I was able to finally come up with this style. When I put it on, I couldn't help but feel like going out and showing it off. There's something satisfying about wearing something you've made yourself that adds an extra layer of confidence and happy feeling.
