A new week has begun, bringing with it fresh opportunities and blessings. I'm hoping for nothing but joy this week.
Here is another edition of the prompt with outstanding submissions.
I'm not sure who first said that "customers are always right," but perhaps that explains how people treat those who provide services for them. They treat them poorly because they don't realize that the people providing the services have feelings just like they do. They also fail to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them and that they might run into that person again in a better circumstance.
I have experienced being treated like trash by someone to whom I was merely providing a service. I sometimes dislike working since I encounter individuals with various views.
I, therefore, received a job during the Asuu strike earlier. I wasn't initially interested in doing that kind of study because of the disappointing results I had been hearing about. However, after spending three months at home, I decided to accept the position because, as an undergraduate, I could manage the #15,000 ($17) salary at least. Additionally, it was close to my house, so I could get there without paying for transportation.
I once faithfully completed a transaction for an elderly but it was rejected. She got debited, thus I believe her bank was the source of the problem. I clarified that the money didn't reach my Pos (Point of Sale) account when she claimed that she had been debited although I hadn't given her the money.
The woman began scolding me before I had even finished my explanation, saying that this is how young people scam the elderly because we assume they are not knowledge.
She kept ranting and shouting at me till I became angry and told her that I was not that sort of person and maybe I wasn't if her kids were like that. I was taught to be responsible and never take other people's property. Just because I work does not indicate that I need assistance. She was astounded by my speech.
My boss came in right away and inquired about what had happened. I explained everything, and he advised her to contact her bank because situations like this do happen and bank network faults will be resolved, returning her money. She silently went.
I recalled the woman a few days later and asked my boss about her. He said she called him, and the money was reversed that night at midnight even without her going to the bank. The thought of an elderly woman acting in such a way hurt me so much. Because of her age, which I much respect, plus the fact that I didn't steal any of her money, I didn't say a thing to her at all.
No matter how the person providing the service behaves, try to have compassion for them because they are also people. We are all customers in some manner. However, everyone has different problems. Some people don't enjoy their jobs, but they must carry them out to make a living.
Keep in mind, spread love, not hate
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day.
