Hello, Hive Learners community! I'm delighted to finally pen down my thoughts here, after a long time of reading and curating amazing content from this Hive Learners community through my account and

Today, I am excited to discuss a subject that holds a special place in my heart - the comparison between public and private education. My schooling journey offered me a distinct chance to explore both these realms. It began in a public school during my elementary years and later transitioned to a private high school.
My early academic life unfolded in the bustling classrooms of a public school in the Philippines. Each class teemed with a crowd of 50 to 60 students, a striking testament to the massive responsibility our teachers shouldered. They were tasked with imparting quality education to such an enormous crowd of eager learners.
As I entered high school, I stepped into a drastically different learning environment in a private institution. The contrast was unmistakable, marked by superior educational standards and a higher level of understanding. There were hurdles, no doubt, especially adapting to this new setting. Yet, I found this part of my academic journey immensely fulfilling and enriching.
Indeed, every beautiful horizon has its storm clouds. I recall the persistent issue of bullying during my public school days, a narrative that sadly resonates with too many young students' experiences. It was a harsh lesson in the crucial need for safe, nurturing environments in all schools especially in public schools.
Given a chance that every child should be within reach of quality education, regardless of their financial background. In my perspective, public schools need to impose a ceiling on the number of students in each classroom to bolster educational quality. Concurrently, private schools should endeavor to make their services more affordable, extending their resources to a wider demographic.
To the parents still thinking about the choice between public and private schools, I'd suggest this: if your situation permits, place your child's education at the forefront. The years of education might feel endless, but they're fleeting, and the knowledge and skills your child will garner during this period will endure throughout their life.
Just like my life, my journey through the education system was laced with hurdles. I hail from a broken family, with my parents parting ways when I was a mere three years old. My mother relocated overseas going Japan to provide for our needs, and we braved many hardships. Yet, these experiences have sculpted me into who I am today, instilling in me resilience, tenacity, and an insatiable quest for knowledge.
After all, education is not merely about textbooks and tests. It's a voyage of personal growth, discovery, and self-understanding. It endows us not just with scholastic knowledge, but also the skills and values essential to navigate life's journey. So, here's to all the students, parents, and educators who are part of this remarkable journey. Let's persist in our quest for knowledge, personal growth, and making a difference, one step at a time.
