I know many people will like to share good stories more than bad stories. My goal of reading articles is to learn from whatever you learn, that is the reason i love to read any interesting articles.
I have learned a lot from this community and i have applied some of these things I learned here in my life, job and relationship: and it worked perfectly for me. Thank you for this initiative, it is very educative.
I love the story 
To start with my own story, I want to share with you the opportunities I had some years ago in the first company I worked with. I was searching for a job, and I connected to various WhatsApp for job opportunities.
Someone I don’t know called me to come for a job, on getting there, the man told me to start working. I thought they were going to interview me but it was not a job to interview.
I felt disappointed because I thought it was going to be a lucrative job. I was told by the manager to start referring to people, confused them to invest in the company. I was paying on a daily basis, not on a monthly basis. My payment depended on the numbers of people that registered with the company.
Since I don’t have any job, I started the job believing that if I get another one, I will leave the company. There were days I did not see people registering and I was getting tired of the company but I said to myself, ‘Chris don’t give up, whatever you find yourself make sure you work very smart.
Since the payment was made on a weekly basis, I was earning $20 every week: that was $80 then. Though my earnings were not stable, sometime i don’t earn anything in a week, and sometime I earn up to $20.
One thing I enjoyed most was the friends I was working with; they were very friendly and accommodative.
Some of my friends left their jobs due to the nature of the job; the job does not require a certificate, even though you did not pass-through formal education, you can do it.
Well! I did not give up despite the nature of the job.
BIGGER OPPORTUNITY OPENED TO ME
Since I was consistent in my job even when I did not register people. I was coming to work every day except Saturday and Sunday. The overall manager does see me on a daily basis.
On this faithful day and after 3 months in the company, the operation manager misbehaved in the company and was fired. The rest of the workers, believing that the CEO would appoint someone that understands the job, were already contemplating the person that will occupy the position.
I don’t know how CEO and overall manager came about me, but I don’t late to work, even when the majority of people we do the same work come to work by 10:00am.
Both the CEO and overall manager called me in, and gave me documents to fill in. The document they gave me was about the operation of the company. I never knew that someone had been fired since I did not work in the office.
Both of them congratulated me that ‘you are now operation manager’ I was shocked and responded ‘how?’
They gave me part of the document to take home so that my guarantors can sign them. I was still shocked because I don’t understand how it happened.
Some of the workers asked me, “how did I do it? I responded that I am still asking myself the same question.
One of them said, “did you know any of the big boss here?”
I said, ‘no’
In the next day, someone was assigned to me to teach me what to do for a period of time. After a month, I learned 90% of the role of operation manager.
After I spent six months as the operation manager, at the end of the year I was given the award for best manager of the year out of fifteen branches in my state. Some of the branches in my state and other states were inviting presentations about how I achieved such big success in six months.
That was how opportunities were opened to me and companies began to invite me for seminars to teach their workers.
In conclusion, I am advising everyone, whatever you find yourself, whatever work you are doing, make sure you put all your effort.
Do it as if it is your work because it will surely speak for you later, People are watching you; people are checking you unknowingly, they are checking everything about you.
Whether you do good or bad, they will rate your performance, that is when you will know that you are closely monitored.
My sincerity, hard work, performance, punctuality, behaviors, transparency, and spirit of oneness earned me an award and opened more door of opportunities to me.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness.
