First of all I would like to thank the Hive Learners community for giving me the opportunity to enter a very challenging contest this week.
As we know this week is the 9th week of the 3rd edition of the contest in this beloved community and in the last few weeks many have shown their writing skills and it really made me want to join like the others.
The contest in this 3rd edition is about Bribery and Corruption
Corruption is one of the activities that are not commendable carried out by a group of people who have power in certain fields of course the power they have is in the political field, mostly corruption is found in people who have power in controlling every activity in both countries. DPR members in every country as well as the apparatus in every particular village as we know that corruption is something that cannot be avoided because every country must have corruption in various ways so that what is desired is achieved by tricking the parties. subordinates to cover up what happened.
Now we know a lot that everyone who has a position has full power over the people below him such as the people and people who need cooperation with people who have that power, so surely people who need it usually bribe some materials such as money and other assets. which aims as a guarantee for his wishes.
Impact of Corruption
As we know that corruption has a very bad impact on human life, especially in what economic factors are included in these impacts :
1. Poverty continues to increase
A very influential factor in the impact of corruption is poverty, namely the income gap that occurs between the corruptors and the people resulting in poverty Which is very relative in general, corruption increases absolute poverty where more and more people are no longer able to fulfill their daily lives That's because the main factor because it has an impact on poverty.
2. Delayed Development
The impact on development is also very influential on corruption that occurs as we know that various development projects and public facilities are of very low quality because they are not in accordance with proper needs. These are indeed very influential factors due to rampant corruption in every country. , my country personally This is something that usually happens and should not be like that.
As a result, the funds that should have been taken for the construction of better facilities were instead taken by an irresponsible government so that the construction of better facilities took a very long time and it could even be said that it was no longer sustainable. And it is very serious about this.
3. The Culture of Corruption Continues to Increase
Another very serious impact is creating a culture of corruption for new people and that happens a lot because everyone already knows about corruption, so the new person who serves as an influential member also does the same thing as his previous boss. and indeed very scary but indeed things like that happen until now this act of corruption continues and shapes culture to its roots.
So many people influence the government that corruption is even considered a trivial act or even not taken seriously by judges, things like this must be considered more seriously because if this case is not taken care of, corruption will create a culture of widespread corruption and if that happens, it will be very serious. difficult to eradicate later on.
How to Overcome Corruption
Corruption continues to occur and occurs until it is sustainable and of course how to overcome corruption is very difficult and there is no really powerful weapon to eradicate it. Currently, the problem of corruption is considered to have become a culture that the government does not care about anymore. This is done to eliminate corruption to its roots, but instead of eliminating corruption, it is even more rampant. Of course, to do this you have to be really serious about it.
It is true that every country enacts laws to eradicate corruption by properly imprisoning corrupt people but this is not really done because as we know people who have power certainly have better alibis in handling cases like that. Currently the corruptors are only imprisoned for a few years and that is no longer a problem for the corruptors because it is possible that the corruptors are just enjoying their time in prison. Let's say they are only imprisoned for a few years and generally corruption is only imprisoned for 3 years to 5 years. It's normal for people to commit crimes.
If seen and seen from another angle, people who commit corruption get more punishments than people who commit other crimes such as murder and that person can be imprisoned for up to tens of years. rampant like now because from logic alone we already know that everyone is very bored in prison up to 20 years, surely every corruptor will consider it considering something very unpleasant happened in prison by spending a wasted life.
Furthermore, in my opinion, if you have to do something openly to eradicate corruption, be it funding from the private sector in the office itself or the documents it holds for personal data, these documents must also be attached. Indeed, everyone is not obliged to attach personal data to public documents because it involves their own personal financial data, but if that person is within the reach of government power, this must be done because we do not know that corruption can be done easily if personal data is not attached.
If personal data and official documents at the agencies they hold or the powers they possess are attached to the public, it is certainly difficult for the corruptors to overcome or deceive the money they receive from bribes because every income received must be written down. in a document that has been registered and must be attached to the public, it means that the public here is to someone who is responsible for the system of managing the corruptors themselves because as we know every country must have a party responsible for the corruption. parties to tackle any corruption they handle it.
