In Nigeria,politics is a do or die affair,they don't care what they have to do to be elected,they can go any extent; rigging killing, kidnapping, thuggery just to attain the position.
So I imagine what could such people do when they get in power, before even thinking of the citizens they make sure they fill their stomachs first and get all funds they've lost during campaign.
Well,it is of no doubt that some incompetent candidate are being nominated for position interms of education or political affairs,they don't know what government really means, how do we expect such person to divert public finance to the right expenditure.
They operate in their way of interest,for instance a president who is previously into cattle rearing will definitely believe that's the only way to solve agricultural problem ,thereby ignoring other agricultural practices if he/she is not academically relevant.
As a rulling government,all sector are to be implemented(few to mention;health, education,industry, agriculture, infrastructure, telecommunications, defense/security, emergency, transport) without lacking.
Nigerian government as a case study does not implement all sector they only specialize on sectors that will bring fund to their purse.
A case study is what happened in my state some years ago, where a governor implemented transport service for the people at low rate, few year after his administration is over,he decided to take back his vehicles, claiming it his invested not for the public.
Someone people trusted and voted for,but decided to betray people's trust.
These people don't really care about the citizens,the children and youth who are supposed to be future leaders are future slaves serving the old ones that refuses to leave office or retire.
What an average political leader in Nigeria believes will solve the problem or convince the people is infrastructure.
They do all these just to get federation fund from the federal government at an over quoted cost just to embezzle,that's the main reason they focus on infrastructure.
Truth to be told they are really trying in that aspect,but that's not the only way to develop a nation (na person wey don eat dey get strength to drive motor).
Agriculture does not count to them, inflation arises day by day, people are living under standard,the best way to implement agricultural growth is to give necessary loans facilities or mechanized equipment to farmers to yield production,food really matters.
They also neglect educational sector, lots of government schools are lacking well trained teachers,the pay and conditions are also not favourably.
What about security and defense, they are really negligence of that sector, this defense personel are not well paid,we need infrastructure but all other sectors are needed equally.
The day I knew the salary of Nigeria army,I gave up on military,they are really underpaid, which is bad and that is what makes most of these people engage in bribery, though no excuse is justifiable.
What about youth,they are jobless due to the fact that there's no sustainable empowerment for them. Industrial sector which can serve as income for youth are neglected,only private companies employs which they don't even pay to commend effort.
Nigerian government is a failed government,the structure and focus has been diverted,the main reason for democracy has faded away.
