A course of social media won't be bad

Social media is such a thing in this digital world that it cannot be replaced, at least at the current time. Without social media, it's really hard to imagine a life. Some of us spend a lot of time on social media that we almost forget about the real world.

In this present world, finding a person who does not use social media is rare. At least I haven't met any person who has a smartphone but is not active on social media. The popularity of social media is at its peak, but is it worthy enough to add as a course in higher school study? What can be the possible outcome if such a step is taken?

It's true that all of us are active on social media, but I think most of the people still don't know fully about all the features of social media. I think it's not possible for us to take the best advantage of all the features on social media. If social media courses are available in high school, they can teach us about all the features available on social media. Social media can be a source of income, but without proper understanding of how it works, it's hard to make money there. I am sharing an example of it. Several people asked me about how to make money on Facebook by uploading video content. I am not active on Facebook, and I agree I don't know everything about it. I don't know how to do monetization and make my profile in a professional way. I know that if I want, then I can learn about it, but most of the people don't know about it even if they are interested in it. Many people asked for my suggestion, but I refused them because I didn't have knowledge about it, and I didn't want to waste my time for them as I had no plan related to Facebook. If there were a course on social media in school, everyone would know about it, and people could learn about all the necessary things they need to know.

In this digital world, protecting privacy is very difficult. On social media, you almost share all kinds of information about us, and anyone can steal it easily if we are not careful. Most of the people are active on social media and not ever about the security system. Social media offers an advanced security system to its users, but most of the people don't take advantage of the advanced security system because they don't know how to activate it or many think that it's another kind of trouble. We can take the example of two-factor authentication. Activating two-factor authentication can increase the security of our account access and reduce the chances of hacking our social media account. But many people think of it as trouble because they need to provide additional proof to be the owner of the account. Actually, they don't know how important it is to secure a social media account. I believe that if people know about the importance of the security of social media from high school, it can make them aware of the security.

Everything has a negative impact with its advantage. I believe that a social media course can't be limited to a textbook. Smartphones should be allowed to understand the better about the benefit of the course. Smartphones distract a student from studying, and at the present time, it has already become a matter of concern. If a social media course is allowed in school, then it's giving students the opportunity to get distracted. Isn't it? It's indeed a disadvantage, but I think if we can train a student properly, it will not be a big deal.

So in my opinion, adding a course for social media in high school will be very effective for students, at least for their future careers and knowing better about the security system of this virtual life, which is very important in the digital world.
