In recent times I hardly read newspapers and stopped watching the news where I used to be a regular reader of the daily newspapers and watching news channels. I stopped reading newspapers and news channels because whenever I see the news I hardly see the positive news and I can understand the situation of our country is getting worse. And the reason is very clear and it is corruption. Whenever I see the yearly budget It seems like a joke to me and I get a clear idea that how money is wasted by investing in unnecessarily when there exists some important thing that can help us to develop our country. Anyway, I am from Bangladesh. Let's start discussing the thing where the government shouldn't spend too much money when I believe it's unnecessary.

The useless and unnecessary project where our government is investing too much and I believe that it's totally useless is the BTV channel which is known as the national channel of our country and is operated by the government. I can still remember that I used to watch that channel when I was a child. As well as I can remember I watched that channel for the last time more than 6/7 years ago. It's not only me but also other people also whom I asked about it. I am confident that more than 95 % of people in our country don't watch that channel. That channel always tries to show that the government is doing great in the news when the reality is saying the opposite. And they cover the unimportant news where there happened something important and that is supposed to be breaking news. I was shocked to see that our government set the budget for this useless channel at more than 2X of the research budget when most of the people of our country don't watch that channel. Besides, I guess there might be occurring some kind of corruption otherwise why it's necessary to set a high budget for it?
Now come to the topic of where I believe that government should spend where they are not doing it. And that is the research sector of our country. At the current time, the budget for the research sector of our country still needs development and the budget isn't enough. I am giving an example of it. During the time of pandemic situation, student of microbiology had a lot of things to do because experiment on virus is related to microbiology. In our country, there don't have so many lab facilities for microbiology students means very few students got the facilities to make experiments. Many students are not getting the proper practical knowledge of microbiology and it's not good for the country. It was an example and such kind of a lack of lab facilities restricting students from the development of every sector related to research. I am confident that the students of our country are talented and quite capable to do something better in the research sector and it will be helpful to the development of our country if they receive proper research facilities. For that reason, I believe that the budget for the research sector should be a minimum of 3X from the current time budget. I would prefer to invest in the research sector rather than investing in a useless channel.
