Education is known as the backbone of a nation, and it is well-known. In the past, people might have neglected it, but now most people take it seriously, and guardians always try their best to give their children the best facilities for education. The thoughts about education changed with time. Even now, guardians are ready to go to extra lengths to educate their children and give them the opportunity to get as many degrees as they can. It looks like a positive change, and such a thing should bring some significant but positive change to a country.
It is unfortunate that now most of the students are running after degrees, not for the knowledge and skills, which is the true purpose of education. So, in that way, they can manage some certificates, which can help to qualify them as a job candidate. Without real knowledge and skill, the certificates are not so useful, as those certificates are like a car, but knowledge and skills are the fuel of the car, which is missing in most students in recent times. In the present time, we can’t avoid competition, but facing competition again and again without having enough knowledge is just trying to depend on luck.
Every year, many students graduate from universities, and after that, it becomes difficult to find a suitable job for them. After trying a lot, they say they have wasted their time and money on education, and it can’t even ensure a job for them. They blame the government for that, and I also agree with it somehow, but that’s not the only case. Each year, various companies give circulars to recruit for specific posts. A lot of candidates face job exams and interviews, but they end up getting no jobs. I have seen some companies say that they didn’t find suitable candidates with the required skills. So, I don’t think only the government is responsible for it. We, as well as our thoughts, are partly responsible for it.
It is true that higher education and degrees don’t ensure a job for them, but we need to spend a lot of money on them. Is it worth spending so many resources on education and degrees? Do you think a country’s system can work well without some skillful and educated people? There are many people who are continuously making contributions to the country. Degrees are just a paper that certifies they have at least a little knowledge and skills. So, if you are ready to study seriously and ready to do hard work to gain knowledge and learn skills, it’s worth spending resources, as you can return more using your knowledge and skills. In case you are just reading for a few certificates, I think you should not go for it. I feel it’s a waste of resources, and it’s a waste of the efforts of those who tried to educate you. In the case of study, my concept is quite clear. Do it seriously; otherwise, don’t waste the resources and efforts.
I already gave the answer to if it is worth it. It actually depends on you. Which category do you belong to? I belong to the first category, and I am very confident that my knowledge and skills will be beneficial for my country as well as for the people, indirectly or directly. I can’t be sure about others, but I am sure that it was worth for me to spend resources on my education.
