"never judge a book by its cover".
It's a popular quote and we have all heard that many times. The meaning of the quote is it's hard to understand something or someone to see the outside appearance. In the case of a book 📚, the outside appearance means the cover may look dirty but that book may contain huge information which can help us to increase our knowledge which is beneficial.

In the case of humans, it's also the same. A person can be looking not so smart but that person can be quite talented and potentially one and a good person. The opposite situation is also the same. I handsome and dashing look person can be an evil person having evil thoughts. So we should not judge anyone by their physical appearance or outside appearance. The fact is we judge others by their appearance and outside appearance matter for all of us. But we don't accept the truth. So I am sharing my experience here. Firstly I am sharing the experience of wrong judgments. And two things I judged wrongly in a single incident.
I used to do tuition to support my family for the last 5 years and many of you acknowledge about it. The incident occurred approximately 2.5 years ago. So I have many students till now and one of them is Anik. He was one of the most talented ones among my students. He was a son of a police officer. In my eyes, he was a very talented and polite student. I am very friendly with all my students and he was also a very friendly one. Instead of studying, he used to share his personal life also and there is nothing wrong with it. I was his home tutor for 1 year and everything was going very well. He completed the syllabus for the HSC exam and I was confident that he was capable to make a brilliant result. Suddenly, one day he called me and said not to go to teach him. I was shocked to hear that but I can't do anything about it and I didn't ask for the reason. He said that he would send my salary through mobile banking and I said ok. After one month I asked for my salary and he said to give it after 15 days and after 15 days he refused to pay my salary saying that I didn't teach him anything and I went to his house for a time to pass. Because of me, he lost a lot of time and couldn't able to finish his lesson where he revised everything several times. My heart was shaken to receive that message from one of my best students and I was his teacher for 1 year. I wanted to leave that tuition 6 months ago because of his father's attitude but he went against his father and forced me to continue teaching him. Can you feel how I felt at that time? It gave me a huge shock and I started to judge myself thinking that was I incapable to teach him. I lost my confidence for a while and it was hard for me to believe that one of my best students said it to me. It seems I stuck for 15 minutes and I was confused about what to reply because I couldn't able to match everything with my logic and It was hard to see the opposite behavior from a student and I have never faced such kind of situation. I shared it with my parents and my parents said that he might not wanna give you the salary and that could be the reason. I started talking with him and I gave him the logic that whatever he was saying was wrong and I said to him I will discuss about my salary with his father.

Can you expect what happened next???? His tune changed and he said immediately he would send my salary the next day after discussing it with his father. The next day he send my salary. Then I realized that my parents were saying the right thing. He send a message to me that It was a prank after sending the money and requested me again to teach him. But to be honest, It wasn't a prank and I have the power to realize the difference between prank and reality. So I refused to teach him again instead of his exam was near. Through his action, he humiliated me and I am pretty sure that he did that for the money. If I didn't say to talk with his father, the situation could be different. So he was my best student but he was the worst student of mine or I prefer not to say him as my student.
Lesson learned from that incident
- Greed for money can change a person totally and help to do evil things.
- A son of a corrupted person learns evil things easily. (in most cases)
- Judging myself for others isn't good when the point was invalid.

Every time our judgment doesn't go wrong and I have judged several times but the most accurate judgment is self-judgment. Sounds different, right? Ok, then I am explaining.
I love to keep things simple and try to be positive in any kind of situation. It's helping to make my life easier. Whenever I was determined for something I achieved it. It was just a matter of time. It can be in a study case or it can be in other cases. approximately 9 years ago I judged myself that I was capable to achieve everything if I try with determination even if it was difficult to achieve. It was the right judgment about myself and I can understand now.
Lesson learned
- being positive and simple makes life easier
- with confidence it's easy to overcome the critical situations
- Achievements are not a big deal if I keep trying and stay focused.
