THE 65KG(KILOGRAM)
As every day passes, the changes we experience are fascinating. I have heard stories of how people could not easily transmit information, but today a whole lot has changed, and more is to come with the increasing number of creative ideas unleashed every day. "Think outside the box" is really having an effect these days. We live in a world where things keep changing every day, without hesitation. Just one little thing can influence change. Sometimes these ideas come as a result of what we experience around us. I have to attest to the fact that my environment has a major role to play in whatever ideas I have to breed.
Looking at the contest topic, I didn't go far to think but had a concept just from within. I am a dedicated farmer; I spend most of my time farming if I am off academic duty. My involvement in farming has given me a greater view of how agriculture works. Speaking of this, I was caught in a conversation with my mentor about the need to study agriculture. I love agriculture but want to try something different, which is why I went into the medical aspect. In aspects of my agricultural adventures, I observed that a little spice can be added to make it more juicy.
There are various things that can be added to different aspects of agriculture, but the one I want to specify is that of cocoa.
LET'S GO DIGITAL IN COCOA BUSINESS
The advent of digital skills and digitally related changes has made things much easier for us. The buying and selling via online marking, the commercial and microfinance banks, and many other digitally based organizations. Cocoa in my area has to deal with more physical work. But to some extent, it can be made easy in the aspect of buying and selling. Local buyers and merchants tend to work around various locations to fetch cocoa to buy. This alone has brought about disadvantages for the producers and even the buyers.
If I have the resources and opportunity to create an app, I will go for the 65kg app. The name the 65kg comes from how cocoa measurements are being carried out. A specific number of KG is termed "a bag.
Why I choose the app?
The disadvantage most farmers suffer is not knowing what the current price is in the major cocoa market outside their locality. This app can reduce the rate at which farmers are being cheated, thereby increasing awareness.
This app can also reduce expenditure and stress for both buyers and merchants. A merchant can easily order cocoa with just a few steps around the app. The physical presence of the buyer is not needed to carry out business.
