Hello Everyone.
Another wonderful time to share our experience regarding the one thing we don't partake in. Seeing the contest announcement, I had to look around me to find the activity or something people around me do that I don't. Funny enough, while going through that path, I almost didn't find something I don't do. Being a lover of new things (neophiliac), I have engaged in several things. For the record, it is basically the good things. I started by examining my family background to see the things we don't do. My parents have taken the time to counsel us on various aspects of life. This shows that we don't do most of the things people see as fun.
Going further to the environment I find myself in, I have tried most of the things people do, but I really don't spend most of my time there, basically seeing it as not my thing.
I had to check myself to the point of meals I eat. In this case, I eat everything prepared by my mum, or let me say, prepared in my house. The reason why I didn't generalize it to every meal is because there are a lot of meals out there I haven't tasted before and regarding the experience I had in my school cafeteria.
I always find time to prepare something for myself if I am not around my mum, but due to stress in Nigerian public universities, I had to try something new.
An experience to remember 🤦
There was a day I couldn't prepare food at home due to an early morning lecture. After two lectures, we had a break. I rushed to the cafeteria to eat something, so I asked for rice and beans, and that was the worst choice I made that day. It's not that the food wasn't tasty; in fact, I enjoyed eating it. However, after a few hours, I began to experience stomach upset and couldn't stay in school, so I went home. Getting home, I almost spent my entire day on the toilet. That was how school for that day ended with two lectures.
From the above story, I derived what I don't do. That day became a remarkable day for me. At this point, I couldn't stop eating outside because of school struggles and my choice of friends. It was a commonly held system by my friends to always hang out occasionally, and my friends would feel bad if don't join them to eat.
After asking a few people about the meal I ate, I drew the conclusion not to eat beans outside my house.
This happens to be what I don't do. Whenever I am going through the food menu in any eatery, I don't always see beans😂
