I would like to start this post with a beautiful quote by Robert T. Kiyosaki
Financial literacy is something that everyone should have, Parents should start teaching their kids from the start, but sadly, in the society we are living in, we don't get taught about it. It happened to me too. My father is not a highly educated man, and my mother was a housewife. They both did their best to raise us the best way possible.
But when it comes to learning about finance, there is something missing. We should be taught about it, but we were only taught to get good grades in school. Our practical education was zero.
When we passed our school and get admission in college, their focus on our studies became less, Perhaps the reason was, they thought now that we were grown up, we could make our own decisions. I don't know if this thing was good or bad.
After completing my masters, I tried to find job, but it's not easy to get job in the country i I live, I decided to freelancing. and my goal was to earn money online. In the process, i came to know about Steemit and my freelancing journey get started from here.
In the beginning, i was earning minimal to support my family, i was living a okay life with no savings, Then there was a jump in my earnings, and believe me,, this was a huge jump, it was all unexpected. No one could expect that, But this it has happened with me, By the blessing of ALLAH ALMIGHTY.
But due to financial illiteracy, i could not utilize the money i earn in a proper way. I could have built a well-established business from the money i earned, but sadly, i wasted all the money in the savings and i couldn't manged it properly.
No one was there to guide me; there should be more than 1 Stream of income. I could have built multipless with the amount of money i earned. I wish I had financial literacy, so that i would have utilized the money properly.
I have wasted a lot of money on trading, spot holdings, and other things related to this crypto field. I have wasted around 100k$ to 200k$ due to this lack of financial knowledge.
Hopefully, I will learn from this experience and utilize the capital more efficiently this time which i am hoping to get this bull market.
