Decentralized Social Media: Our Future Voice

I highly believe that Decentralized Social Media Will Help as A Lot in the Future. In the future, it is possible that we won't be able to say what we want anymore. As of now, our social media accounts serve as our voice, reaching a global audience.

However, future leaders may attempt to control our opinions. This is already happening to some extent, with accounts being banned or blocked by centralized social media platforms that do not want certain thoughts and opinions to be heard worldwide.

Our only hope for being heard in such a scenario lies with decentralized social media platforms like Hive, PeakD, Ecency, and other blockchain-based Social Media platforms. In the future, people may not care about the rewards they receive for creating content anymore. Their primary goal will be to have their voices heard. Especially those people who always speak the truth about this world.

Currently, society may not fully recognize the value of decentralized social media. It may be seen as just another passing tech trend. However, I believe it will endure unless all computers worldwide are destroyed or there is no energy to power all those nodes.

Another advantage of decentralized social media is that our content remains on the platform as long as there are running nodes.

Unlike centralized social media, which can be controlled, the blockchain is not controlled by any single entity. No one can decide to remove your post, only you have the authority to change it. While there may be some users in Hive who hold significant influence and like to power trip on small users, nobody can take action against your post except you.

I only hope that soon, the algorithms of decentralized social media will improve, and the user interface will become more user-friendly so that even non-tech-savvy individuals can use it effectively.
