Hello friends. Today, I want to talk about a big problem in Pakistan – not having enough jobs for people. It's called unemployment, and it's getting worse. This issue affects many aspects of our lives, causing money problems and stress for families. There are several reasons for unemployment in Pakistan. Some of the main reasons are:
Source
**Population Growth: **Pakistan has a high population growth rate which makes it difficult to create enough job opportunities for everyone. The country's labor market is unable to absorb the large number of job seekers, which leads to high levels of unemployment.
Source
Low Economic Growth: The country's economic growth rate has been low in recent years, which means that there are fewer new job opportunities being created. This has resulted in a large number of unemployed individuals who are unable to find work.
Source
Lack of Skills: Many job seekers in Pakistan lack the necessary skills and qualifications to meet the demands of the job market. This creates a mismatch between the skills that are available and the skills that are needed in the labor market, leading to high levels of unemployment.
Source
Limited Industries: Pakistan's economy is dominated by a few industries such as textiles, agriculture, and services. This has limited the scope of job opportunities in other sectors, leading to high levels of unemployment among young people.
**Political Instability: **Political instability and frequent changes in government policies have created uncertainty in the business environment, making it difficult for companies to invest and create jobs.
Please note, a far healthier economy of any country, as Pakistan's was till 1979 doesn't collapse over night. It is simply against nature's basic principles. Interestingly, Pakistan's economy despite being disintegrated in 1971,was far ahead of all the following countries such as, India, Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. It’s growth till 1979 in manufacturing sector alone was up to 15% per annum. Please also note, it had achieved such a high growth despite USA economic sanctions on Pakistan for developing Atomic Bomb. And, there was no foreign Aid, which, became a way of life for Pakistan thereafter, since, USA needed our Army's services again in Afghanistan from 1979 till 1989.
The truth is. Pakistan has been extremely unfortunate nation on the face of our earth, who was blessed with a born genius politician like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, but unfortunately, partially benefited from his intellectual outstanding abilities. Pakistani instead of benefitting from his visionary ideas to lead Pakistan, where countries like Singapore and South Korea are today. How bright he was? He was first spotted by Dictator Ayoub Khan. If, he was genuinely faithful to the soil of Pakistan. He could have handed over government to him in 1962. Instead, he remained clinched to the power till 1969,when he systematically handed over government to an incompetent womaniser and alcoholic Yaya Khan. This gives a clear indication of how faithful he was to his country. Had he handed over the control of the country to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1962. Pakistan under no circumstances have broken in 1971.

Anyhow, unfortunately, it had to happen, when you have Dictators running your country, because, Dictator as a general has a completely different profession from that of politics. Its somewhat this. You substitute a Dr with an engineer, and say that both are the same professions. It is simply absurdity.
Finally, truthfully and realistically. The demise of every sector of Pakistan started in 1979, when our Army executed the national ASSET of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto upon the order of America. Every sector and department were simply ignored till 1988,when Zia Ul Haq was ended by USA, as USA had Zulfikar Ali Bhutto ended by Zia Ul haq 10 years earlier.
When Zia was ended in 1988. Obviously, the politically vacuum that was left behind by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto 10 years earlier, somehow had to be fulfilled by politicians. Here what to be noted? The bright, honest and professional politicians that were available for our Army to fulfill that political vacuum were, such as, Mr, Nawaz shariff and family, who had no professional political educational qualifications and experience to run the country as well as his brother etc. Madam Banazir sahaiba, who did have educational qualifications in politics, but, badly lacked in experience to run the country. If, she was considered to be experienced and competent. Her own father in 1977 General elections would have issued her with party ticket to contest the general elections. He was unbelievable a genuine politician, who didn't even consider his own daughter to be worthy of it.
Since 1989 till 1998, Pakistan been governed by both PPP and PML(N) respectively, with short spells of a few temporarily imported prime ministers. During this period both parties Looted to maximum limits, especially Mr, Zardari and family. Generals also washed their hands. Then again came the era of another Dictatorship in 1999,which been in power till 2007, and he himself and his team Looted too, like all others before him. Thereafter, again both parties taken over turn by turn, and Looted further. Now we have PTI. Imran Khan himself is an honest politician just like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. But, unfortunately, he has got two major problems. One of the two problems he has got. He has got a totally incompetent team, and some of them are traditionally corrupt like their counterparts in other parties. The second problem he has got, which nobody in Pakistan could ever solve, Corruption, terrorism, demised educational system, demised every department, such as, Gas, Electricity, Water, PIA, GPO, Police, Civil services, foreign debts, corrupt and nominal legal system, railways, road constructions department, lack of health facilities, lack of clean water, hypotitis C is common throughout Pakistan due to dirty water, currupt politicians, economy etc. Sectarian violence, unemployment, deep poverty due to unemployment, Lawlessness, MQM in Karachi, kalashnikov culture, Hardcore drugs etc.

Finally, the simple question is. Who exactly is responsible of all the problems and reasons I have set out above, which have today driven Pakistan to the brink of collapse? The simple and honest answer in the light of historical facts is (ONLY AND ONLY OUR Establishment.
There are many employment issues and if you are a young Pakistani looking for employment you probably won’t any idea what to do about it. Creation of employment is a public issue where governments should have seriously plan and act instead of paying attention to it only at election time.
Population Explosion: Rate of population growth has historically been very high. Nearly 51% of our population is under 25. This population is 60% males and needs work urgently.
Low Literacy rate: Millions of children don’t go to any school, those who do get an inadequate and incomplete education. Govt. devote too little to education and has been practically out of this business for decades. Education is private for profit sector, with very high costs. Only the middle class and upper middle can afford education for their kids.
Over supply of white collar work force: Majority of those who can afford education opt for white collar stream. Since blue collar jobs aren’t socially desirable. There is a glut of BA’s, MA’s, M.phil’s MBA’s and PHD’s but not enough technicians, mechanics, nurses etc.
Female exclusion from workforce: For female population education is mostly some thing to occupy their time until a suitable marriage proposal comes along. Very few of them have serious career plans. Generally females are discouraged from working outside the home culturally and religiously. Although most people will readily admit it is hard to make end meet with a single earner.
Lack of Vocational training: No level of government has paid any attention to vocational education or training. Author can list dozens of trades where there are opportunities but no supply of trained workers. No body teaches tailoring, auto repair, electronics, instrumentation, metal working machine operators, welders, insulators, tile setters, glazing, concrete layers, carpet layers, plumbers, sheet metal workers, electricians, computer repair, surveying, painting, plastering, masons, brick layers, watch making, boiler operators, para medical vocations.
Labour Export: The few good tradesmen that come up the ranks are exported, so what we have no skill low skill work force.
Discriminatory Employment Practices: Public and private sector both follow parochial practices (nepotism, bribery, connections, regional and other type of quotas) in hiring are the norm, merit is not a consideration in the hiring process.
**Gender Disparities: **Women in Pakistan face significant challenges in accessing the job market due to cultural and social barriers, leading to a high rate of female unemployment. There are two main reasons of unemployment in Pakistan. First not having enough industries in the country as needed to reduce the unemployment. There is another reason connected with the modern industrialization and that is the use of automated systems where less or no manpower is required. Hand made things are vanishing from the market, where as they were in abundance in the past thus having the employment of skilled and non-skilled personals.
Secondly more related with the current social and socio-economic condition of the world and that is increase of population in poor countries and decreasing of population in advance and industrialized countries. Unemployment is directly proportional to the population and jobs created by erecting of more industries. The rise of unemployment is not problem of one or two countries but this problem will assail all countries in near future. Alternate ways to make a living: One option is entrepreneurship may be an option but it requires capital and high risk of loss and failure. Very unemployed have the money to start a business. This usually takes time to be a steady source of income. So you can see we have a handful of issues in Employment.
Unemployment also affects the health. Youth has to suffer depression, hypertension. They mostly suffer with high blood pressure and negative psychological changes occur to them.
Unemployment increases the brain-drain. Most of the intellectuals immigrate to foreign countries and huge amount of talent is lost every year.
I need your help in finding ways to fix this problem. If you have any ideas on what the government or we as a community can do to create more jobs, please share them. Your suggestions can make a positive impact and make Pakistan a better place for everyone.
Let's work together to find solutions and make our country a more prosperous and happy one.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
